Doc won't sign...

Trying Hard
Guys,

Looking for some advice. My doc won't sign my form it's practise policy apparently. He is happy for me to do it however and tried to get me to just do it anyway...surely that goes against EVERY rule in the book even for him!!! He gave me a 'healthy eating' leaflet on my way out the door. I had to bite my tongue very much so. The ironic thing is NHS Scotland are apparently trialling Cambridge in their hospital clinics.
I have post viral fatigue syndrome which is 100% self managed and my GP has had no input for years and TBH they aren't interested anyway. But Cambridge said no to no signature. Wish i hadn't declared now
So my dilema is... Cambridge have said i can do 1200 but nothing lower. What is 1200? The website is a bit confusing. Its my relationship with food that needs addressed and i fear i will still comfort eat if i'm allowed food.

Any advice.

i Think its where you can have a shake with 1200 cals a day .

Your BMI is below 40 so the dr doesn't need to sign to give permission, they will be informed by cambridge that you are following the program so they can keep it on file and adjust any medication. You only need to be signed off if your BMI is over 40.

there was another lady on here who's Dr refused to sign , she told her CDC and they managed to convince the Dr , along with cambridge , to sign . The Dr is only signing to confirm that the medical info you have given is correct , NOT to approve of the diet . so I would go back and talk to your CDC .
You do have to get a signature if you have a medical condition ...

hi just wanted to say this isn't always true, Doctors have to sign the form if you have any medical conditions that can cause problems while on cd, like diabetes, depression, etc.

Oops sorry, I forgot about the medical conditions, sorry for any confusion.

I was the lady with the Doc that wouldn't sign!!
My practise had the same policies about not signing, but as was said, they are signing to agree with what medical conditions you have NOT that they agree to you doing CD.
As my CDC told my Doc, I could tell her that I have mild depression for example but could be a manic depressive!!
I would persevere if you can because in the end it worked for me.
Although I should have started Monday but I have had terrible tonsilitis this wk typical!
Good luck anyway.

Well i have started 1200 in the meantime and this is Day 1. The shakes are giving me the heave, i'm not sure if i could cope with SS. Does that pass? xx
