Hi all,
they say that inside every fat woman there is a skinny one screaming to get out. It's true. Up until now I've shut her up with chocolate, but the time has come for me to take myself in hand and shift the blubber I've been carting around for the last 18 years.
My weight has always been an issue for me; once I hit puberty I turned into a chubby teen. I stayed that way 'til I hit 17. I slimmed down a bit at that point but, at 9.5 stone I was still 'the fat one'.
At 26 I had my daughter and started piling on the weight, first the pregnancy weight, then the post-natal depression weight. I reached nearly 15 stone.
A month of starvation dieting took me down to 13st 4lb and there I stayed until my divorce. the divorce diet is always a good one. I lost 20 stones of ugly fat and found myself at 12. 4.
I kept things relatively stable for a while then found the weight creeping up til I was back at 13. 10. I then proceeded to lose the same half a stone about a dozen times.

A back injury stopped that and now I'm 16 stones with very limited mobility.
I need to do something serious but don't know what, exactly. I've tried SW, works when you stick to it but I can't stick to it. I also find it galling to hand over a fiver a week to gain a pound! WW is just way too complicated and calorie counting makes it too easy to cheat.
A friend has just lost 7 stones with Lipo trim and I'm very interested in that diet. However, I think what I really need is a bit of advice and support to help me find the diet that will work for me and get this 100lb shifted for good.
what help and advice can you offer please?

Thanks

Hula

PS I've been reading the forums for the last couple of days and am happy to say I recognise one or two peeps from other forums, I feel quite at home already!

Hi hula and :welcome: to the forums! You sound really motivated which will really help you on your journey. Everyone on here is lovely, friendly and there is loads of support and advice available. I have tried all manner of diets including Lighterlife and have really only found one that works for me and that is Weight Watchers. Everybody is different and it can take time to find one healthy eating plan that you can work with - what you need to remember is that you are doing this for you and no one else! There are plenty of people on here who are doing Lipotrim so hopefully they will be able to provide some insight into how they are finding it! There are also dedicated forums on here for those following different diets so it may worth posting in these as well as not everyone looks at the Intro forum.
I am sure I will bump into you again but for now I wish you the very best of luck on your weight loss journey

Welcome Hula and good luck on your weight loss journey.

Hi and welcome. What sort of diet do you think you will succeed at? Do you want to do it alone or go to a class? Have a look around the site and see which diets members have been following and ask questions too.

Thanks for the warm welcome :)
It is support from other people that makes any weight loss journey easier.

I'm no stranger to dieting, over the years I must have tried everything including cabbage soup (I hate cabbage), Atkins (Vodka and diet coke has no carbs), WW, SW (about four times, I think. The last time was great fun but I lost the same four pounds over and over again) and Rosemary Connelly.
I 've counted calories, syns, carbs and fat units.
I've tried Xenical and Reductil.
I've listened to Paul McKenna's dulcet tones.
Nothing has worked for me so far.
Now, I think I have to stop messing around and finally choose to shed the comfort blanket of fat. To find out whether the slim me is still alive in there!

I will be relying on your support people. Keep me on the straight and narrow and heading in the right direction on my journey.
