HELP! (Restarting tomorrow)

Hello everybody

I was doing the Cambridge diet, but I've been having some issues with my kidneys so have had to stop. Although I liked Cambridge because it was fast losses, whenever I'd have a week away (I take quite regular "holidays" because I have a boyfriend who lives abroad) I'd just gain it all back, so I'm really looking forward to having a bit more leeway, and getting back to the gym! I've done WW before, always with overall success (i.e. I lost weight) but I never got close enough to goal before something happened to make me leave WW (the first time I dislocated my knee, the 2nd and 3rd time were holiday binges that left me too embarrassed to go to my meeting and face the scales).

But the main thing is... I am a bit apprehensive because I am a habitual restarter, and have gotten so used to not hitting goal that I have almost convinced myself that I can't do it :( I really want to shake this feeling, does anybody have any advice? Has anybody been through this? I have about two stone left to lose (will have a more finite number after WI tomorrow). I will be doing monthly pass, because experience shows that if I don't go to my meetings, I fail horribly. I'm a bit nervous about my meeting tomorrow as I have had two restarts between May and now and I'm a little embarrassed about seeing my leader (even moreso as I didn't respond to her efforts to contact me with the little notes - mostly because I tend to be out of free texts!). I have about 2 and a half stone left to lose, not sure of the exact number until tomorrow when I weigh in, but I'm estimating that my leader's scales will weigh me in at about 11stone.

Hi Mince
I previously lost weight with Cambridge but have put a couple of stone back on and will be starting a new Weight watchers class tomorrow evening. I haven't done WW before, but I'm quite excited to start. I knew SW wasn't any good for me due to the unlimited amounts of certain foods, so WW seemed the best option to keep me on the straight & narrow but without the rigidness of Cambridge.
Good luck for your WW journey. Put all your previous restarts behind you and start as if you're doing it for the first time and then you'll be just fine. Will look forward to following your progress on here!

Good luck both with starting Ww this week. i started last week and lost 4lb and the food that you can eat is scrummy. xxx

good luck to both of you! WW is much less restricted and alot more enjoyable-no food is ''out of bounds'' as long as you point it correctly. there have been quite a few people joining from cambridge recently, most have them have found the first week they stayed the same-due to their bodies getting used to eating more varied foods, then they see the results in the weeks to follow, so dont get put off if this happens!
good luck-see you around the boards
xx
