weather in turkey in october

Hiya girls. You are all doing brilliant as usual. I know that some of you ladies on here are experts on all things Turkish and I was just wondering what the weather is like in October. I have tried googling this but keep getting mixed reports! I am thinking of going around the 20th. Seen a great deal for Lara Beach. Don't know anything about this area or resort. Any thoughts on this welcome!!! xxxx

Ooooh! I went to Lara beach last year!!!!!!!! Its absolutly beautiful. It is a proper tourist resort though - not much besides the hotels. Which one are you going to? I went to Kervansaray Lara ....

can't help with the weather for October though as i went in August. I do believe Mary goes in october and im sure its still warm but with maybe an odd rainy day? Not too sure sorry.

Thanks Summergirl! Don't think we are going to go in October. Cant really afford it to be honest and don't want to chance it with the weather. Thinking of going to Lara beach though Easter time. Looks lovely. Is there much to do there though besides the hotels and stuff? xx

Just come across this post (I keep forgeting to check this part of the forum ). Just aswell you haven't booked for this month as the weather has really turned over there this past week. They've had rain and thunderstorms and its quite cold at night. Will probably pick up again but its pot luck at this time of year. Easter should be lovely. We normally go mid May and its quite hot then with just the odd cloudy day (my hubbys Turkish and I've been going to Turkey since we met in 1991)
I haven't been to Lara Beach but I've got friends that have, by all accounts theres not much to do outside of the hotels, unless you're willing to travel. We normally go to Olu Deniz or Icmeler (they're our favourites anyway) theres loads of shops, bars, restaurants in each. The hotels in Lara Beach are top class though (and out of our price range lol!)
