LighterLife packs tastes

Ready for the new me!
Do you ever get used to the taste of Lighterlife packs ? The only thing im finding quite hard of the first week is the taste of the packs now.
Ive picked the soups and shakes (Chocolate, Vanilla, Chicken and Veg) and the first time they tasted ok but now ive found some have a weird tang like the chicken soup, which despite drinking water lasted for 2 hours :eatdrink017:.

 
They're not the tastiest things I've ever had but you do get uses to the taste and with time you find out which ones are your favourites. I can't stand the soups so I'm sticking to shakes and porridge. You'll also get the bars which are all ok (at least you can chew on something)
It's all about mindset. If you're going to tell yourself you don't like them you will have it tough.
Just stick to it Hun. It gets better with time. Trust me!

I think you have to view the packs as nutrition and not as food that should be tasty - they are just a means to an end - your taste buds will adjust in time :)
 
Thanks guys, I do see what you both mean, mental thing and all. I think ill leave out chicken soup next week and try new shakes.
Theyve been ok for the first day but last night they started tasting bleugh !

My mouth tastes awful at the moment despite brushing my teeth and mouthwashing 3 times a day or more :(.
 
Yes AJB is right. It's not food. It's nutrition but it would be nice if it tasted better right?
Well I would def urge you to try all the packs once or twice. After that you will know what you do or don't like. Also try the different recipes (posted on her as a sticky note) because after a while you do get bored a bit. I don't like the chicken too! ;)

I know what you mean about the taste. Some packs I found left such an aftertaste that I couldn't enjoy them - chilli, porridge and the cranberry bar come to mind. The lemon and toffee bars too I couldn't get to grips with, and the chicken soup I don't have any more. I love the veg and mushroom soups, no funny tastes there! And all the shakes I love. I still order a good selection every week, but I know some people find 1 or 2 packs they enjoy and have them every day. Whatever gets you through!!
 
Yep I'm one of those weird creatures of habit - have porridge, peanut bar and hot chocolate x2 every day! If I'm in a savoury mood I may have a mushroom or vegetable soup - but that's a rarity these days!
 
I've got my little routine too AJB - either strawberry or banana ice cold for breakfast, bar for lunch, usually soup for tea, then either choc sludge/hot choc/iced or hot vanilla coffee in the evening. I keep thinking of trying a chilli again, but then I remember the taste/texture and shudder and make it another choc instead!
 
I just see it as a means to an end - I didn't particularly love chilli in 'conventional' food so I don't see point of forcing myself to have it now - I've managed so far on my choices - figure I can carry on for the rest of this month at least before the boredom sets in :)
