Violet is shrinking
Helloooooo :) ive been having a little wonder about the forum and ive noticed people are still eating chips and jelly and stuff, can i do this? i dont eat meat or fish but i do eat pasta, spag bol, lasagne, quorn stuff, pretty much all veg going.i dont eat salad, crusty breads or the usual veggie meals that are normally offered to people who dont eat meat.

im trying to plan some meals, and im hitting a dead in,anyone have any suggestions?

thanks guys ;)
oh,does anyone know how many eggs i can eat a week?like how much fat is in them?

eggs are out of the rules, but some people can get away with them... i have never tried. (never wanted to risk it...)

home made chips made with frylight.. is what i would make.
i made home made chips with potatoes, parsnips and carrots and also butternut squash... just seasoned them and sprayed with a little fry light...

get out and buy the slimming world mag, ww mag, and the rosemary conoly mag...
they are great for ideas!

What about homemade soups? You can just chuck all the veg you want in and maybe some pulses and stock. Vegetable currys or Veg strir frys. What about Vegetable stew? Or quorn sausage casserole. The slimming world magazine is a good suggestion it always has lots of veggie recipes. It's hard to keep thinking of new meals, I always end up cooking the same thing. I am going to make an effort to try new things though so I don't get bored. xx

YEs trying new things is the key... it makes you kinds think that you are not really on a diet as such... well it did me anyway

I personally have been eating eggs...infact i think i had about 7last week?
Buttt i only use egg whites...as i eat omlettes. The yolk contains the fat - and an average egg "yolk" is about 5g per egg!
I just made a low fat mousakka tonight was scrummy! Low fat king prawn curry is a fave for me..xx

Just as an idea .. last night I knocked up a quick frittata (sp?) I used 2 egg whites and only one of the yolks .. added diced red onion, kidney beans, sliced tomato, grated carrot, sliced courgette and some finely sliced green chillis (I like to have a bit of a kick with food lol) all served with a green salad (a mix of romaine leaves, watercress, rocket and mini gem) I found I didnt miss a dressing due to the frittata being quite spicy and the peppery salad leaves worked well to promote the different flavours.

I dont know about you but I find some food so very bland so I tend to play with different herbs and spices, but try to watch the salt levels as some are very high and I personaly find myself retaining fluid because of it if I dont read the labels.

Hi guys, thanks so much for all the help and suggestions!:) im definitely going to get the magazines for inspiration.i had no idea eggs had that much fat in them,i do like scrambled egg,i guess i could try one with a piece of brown bread and see how i do. ive never tried using egg whites,i may experiment with them and see what happens.

does anyone have little snacks they save for watching the tv with? i love snack a jacks :D

oooooh tv snacks ... lol ... mine are the ryvita minis, either the sweet chilli ones or the cream cheese and chive ones. I tried the snack-a-jacks but didnt enjoy them at all .. every drop of moisture in my mouth vanished and I found my top lip curling under .. have you ever tried talking when your tongue is stuck to the roof of your mouth and the top lip has curled under so far that all anyone can see is your bare gums lol (oh dont I just sound like the absolute stunner .. no wonder my man loves me hahahaha)

:D hahahahaha lou u actually had me crying with laughter!!
Sounds uuubar attractive that! ;)

Snacks, i like having tesco baked cheese n onion crisps..blush pears..ww yoghurt..

Ive decided each friday i will treat myself, so i have some ww choclate brownies deserts in my freezer. Oh and by the reccomendation of the "i scream" thread...i also bought some tesco raspberry sorbet  yet to try any of those yet though. xx

ha ha Lou,thats funny :D ive just tried to talk with my lip curled up,you get a joker face lol

i like the salt and vinegar snack a jacks, ive not tried any of the other flavours.ive just looked at the pakaging and theyre over 5gs of fat :( i might try those ryvita minis, are they really hard? im not too keen on really crunchy stuff.

thats a great idea to treat yourself, and the weekend is a good time for it. i'll have a look for those weight watchers chocolate puds :)

im going to have my treat on a saturday when im watching strictly coming dancing :D

I always see people buying those Gok wan rice cakes? Think they are snack a jack? May give them a go.

xx

i really like them, ive tried barbeque, smoky bacon and salt vinegar. theyre really nice :) i thought they would taste really foul and bland, but since ive been having them,i dont even want any crisps or puffs.. i love mini cheddars and ive stopped having them too.

oh,yes x factor i love the auditions :D

Maybe i'll dash out soon for some and give them a try! ;)
