im only on my third day of TFR, i don't feel physically hungry but i can't stop thinkin about crispssssss & other nice food! will this go?!

i also hate all of the milkshakes & soup, any tips for making them taste any better?

It will pass just try to keep focussed cos your over the hardest bit, i bought the shaker from my chemist which cost me like £8 but i would say its worth it, i put in ice cubes and shake and leave for about 5 minutes for it to chill, it tastes much better. I only do the chocolate thou.. so dunno about any other kind. good luck xx

Also stick to this website, u'll be amazed how chatting with others in the same boat really spurs u on.

Just keep looking and chatting on here, It will help you out no end. the feeling will pass. once ketosis kicks in (if it hasn't already) you will start feeling really energised and motivated.

occupy you mind and do other things.

You WILL be ok and you CAN do this xx

personally i've found whisking about 5 or 6 ice cubes in a blender/juicer, mix the shake in your mixer with just less than the recommended 240ml of water, then pour the shake into the blender, blend again for about 45 secs, then it'll be nice and cold and really tasty and totally 'smooth' with no lumpy bits, i've tried this with the strawberry and the chocolate and they both taste, dare i say it, GREAT! they're like slush and taste just like a normal shake from the shops. I've also tried the vanilla one, warmed with some coffee in it, which i wasn't too keen on tbh but that may have been more my fault than anything lol, also there is the after8 choc mint thing, brew a peppermint teabag in 240ml of water, add sweetner if required, then mix with a choc shake :D not tried this yet tho, next on my 'to try' list lol

I agree, the colder the shakes the better, I only use the shaker from the chemist and I put the water in first then the powder, gently wobble the shaker to get it going slowly then shake it up, then add the ice crushed if needed... If for some reason your still getting lumps leave it to rest a couple of mins and then give another shake and add the ice, the rest let's it desolve a little...

I never have lumps, with no blending

hope that helps

As for the soup,

Hi Lou, welcome to the forum It's a great place for advice and information. I love reading all the little wins for people here. That keeps me motivated. You have to think about why you started this diet. what do you want out of it? after all only you can make this work for you. I found a hermesetas in the hot chocolate is really nice. Ice cold strawberry shake and I make the Chicken soup really hot. The vanilla makes a good iced coffee. I hope this helps. keep strong. it's just your body asking for carbs which is a quick form of energy. have a glass of water and stick with it.

Hi Lou I can only second what everyone has said previously here. It's day 6 for me and I can't believe how much better I feel, I know that I'm in ketosis and the weight is coming off and I've actually got some energy too!

Can I suggest that you do what i do at this time of the day, if you can, when the going gets tough, go and run yourself a lovely bubbly bath with loads of smellies, take a really good magazine or book, turn up the music and stay in there for the next couple of hours! Oh and take at least a litre bottle of water with you because if the bath is nice and hot you'll feel like drinking too which will help with the water consumption.

Stay strong babes x

dont think of the TFRs as a nice tasty meal cuz they aint. they are literally fuel packs, top notch fuel that you are puttin in your new Ferrari..... there aint no easy answer other than its gonna take a whole barrow full of will power... once the results start showing you will find it easier as you see the rewards, and stick on the forums, everyone is in the same boat here and we all understand totally! your amoungst friends... stick with it and you will roar!!! x

It will get easier once ketosis kicks in - you'll not feel hungry, you'll stop thinking about food (as much) and you might even feel more energetic. You're very nearly through the toughest part, keep going. (And drink - hot water, cold water, coffee, tea, anything that you can wrap your hands round to stop them reaching for something they shouldn't!

Good luck, you can do it!
