Hello my name is Tori I am 29 years old and 30 will be approaching me sooner than I would like! I have been a nurse for the past 10 years but for the past 3 years I have basically been a stay at home mom and the pounds have packed on. I'm a horrible eater I find that i go most the day with out eating then load up as the evening and night approaches. I have been on the Slim fast plan the past 3 days and it hasn't been super hard but its not easier either . When I feel like I need to munch on something I go spend 5-10 minutes on my elliptical machine. my legs were so sore when I woke up this morning I decided id walk a mile outside b4 the heat came on. I'm hoping to find some support that I dont get in my home. to help keep me motivated and going until I reach my goal. I am currently 275 pounds I'm 5'2 yeah I know I am super obese :0( I have decided to do mini goals to help me from getting discouraged. mini goals of 5 pounds My goal for the moment is to be 155 WHEN i reach this weight I will determine to stay or keep going. I know the road will be long I will have my ups and downs and I think I am prepared for this but I know I will need help. I am a kind person who is unjudgemental of others. If you think we could help motivate each other please contact me :0)

Heya and welcome to slim fast!

You've certainly come the right place for support, the people here are great! There's always some one around to either congratulate you for something (no matter how small and trivia) or give youa boot up the back side when you've not been too good!!! ..... The number of times I've come here when I'm about to pig out and there is normally someone here to give me a metaphorical slap round the face and tell me to get a grip!!!!

Have a look at some peoples diaries, there great motivation and you can pick up some great tips.

Good luck

everyone slips up and finds it hard every so often, so if you slip, your not on your own and theres nothing wrong with you!

hiya tori welcome to slimfast , you will find plenty of support here and its a great place for writing down how you feel about everything doesnt always have to be about food is a good place to vent anger when someone has upset you coz your larger than them. or even just to moan when homelife is having a bad day and you dont feel your getting the support there.
Start a diary write everything in it, i do if you look at mine your see i ramble about anything and everything if nothing else it might give you a giggle lol

Hi guys, I've been doing SW since January but well behind on my target I had set myself. So I've started on the SF journey on Monday, day 2 and doing ok.

We are off to centre parcs in 6 weeks, is there any chance I could lose 2 stone in this time. I've never really done SF before so not sure what losses to expect.

2 stone in 6 weeks??? Sorry, but I don't think that's a manageble target (well not to loose it healthily anyway) maybe 1 stone, if your good and stick to plan 100%. Other wise good luck on slim fast.x

I'm in the use but correct me if I'm wrong there is 14 pounds per one stone? If that is correct That would mean you would need to lose 5 pounds a week. this can be done but it will be very hard and not real healthy and will take a good bit of determination to stay 100% on plan get in all your water plus more and cardio everyday. Best wishes to you but If you dont reach that 2 stone dont get discouraged you will get it off!

I normally lose 9-12lbs the first week of a diet so was thinking 3-4lbs a week thereafter might be achievable as sticking to plan 100% ?

Well done Jane!! Fingers crossed mine goes as well! :)

Are you exercising also?

Yes, I do an hour dog walk each day, thanks to Kazzy's inspiraton I've joined a Zumba class and last Monday I joined a gym, which I hope to go to 2-3 times a week . Really determined this time to shift the weight.
