I just wanted to put a post up about my 2 gorgeous cats Smudge and Chewie who have helped keep me sane through some tough times which have been hard on them as well as me.

Smudge I have had since she was 13 weeks old and she is my number one girl; she has lovely long black fur and a little black smudge under her nose, hence her name. She and I have an amazing connection and she may not be much of a lap cat, she tends to prefer being out exploring, but she always pops back in to make sure I'm still around. At bedtime she always follows me upstairs for cuddles on my bed before she goes on her bed in the spare room.

Chewie I have had for 2 years and she is my rescue cat, she is white with light grey and brown tabby markings with the tinniest head ever. She was originally found as a kitten with her brother in a binbag in London, came to Birmingham to live with the sister of the lady that found them then ended up in the rescue centre. They weren't treated well and from what I can gather Chewie was deprived of food and affection, then the centre seperated her from her brother which I thought was awful as he was the only thing she knew. I went to look at the cats and when I walked past her pen she lept out of her bed and put her paws on the glass, I knew then she had to be mine.

After some initial issues with food and feeding she is now the happiest, most loving cat in the world; she cannot get enough affection and cuddles, especially from my OH Rob who, after only living with him for a year she has taken a huge shine to and loves him to bits.

Problems with my ex saw Smudge have to be moved to a new house 9 times in 4 years and Chewie 4 times in 3 years which I feel awful about, but they are now both so happy and settled and don't have to go anywhere. I love waking up to feed them every morning and they are both always making me and OH smile and laugh, they bring us such joy I would never be without my amazing girls.
