Can i Continue ss if i have Gallstones?

:cry: my gp just told me today that i have gallstones, he is refering me to a liver specialist because theirs also something not right with my liver:cry:.
i also went for my weigh in today and lost another 5lbs.
I couldnt bring myself to tell my counsultant about my gallstone diagnosis.
pls advise me,is it that dangerous to carry on a vlcd?

I too have gallstones , and my Dr told me I was better off on CD than eating a normal diet as it is low fat etc ..I am just waiting for it to be removed ... however I think you really should mention it to the liver specialist as I do not know how CD affects your liver, you could also ask your CDC

The only reason i didnt mention it to the cdc was because i was scared she'd tell me to stop the diet.i am sooo looking forward to reaching my goal weight and i know on other diets that'll take forever.

I know what you mean , but your health is far more important that the diet .. you are no good if you are skinny but ill ...dont risk it

Gall stones are a side effect of the diet in some people. Continuing on the plan could be quite dangerous until this problem is sorted. The composition of your bile changes so if you carry on doing the plan you could make then worse. More frequent attacks and more damage in the long term.

The truth is you probs already knew the answer and thats why you never told your CD counsellor. Perhaps you should just consider a low calorie diet until you have seen the specialist.

i have increased my calories to 810 for now until i see the specialist, if he says i should even have more i will do it.
