Going Out of Lunch - HELP!!

Have a nightmare almost 3 weeks in and though not having great time on this diet it does seem to be working (now) and things fit better, feel looser (can even do up size 12 jeans and not be cut in half however way too much muffin top for my liking!). So basically don't want to mess it up but going out for lunch (well you can't be a hermit) but it's a food court with pizza, sandwich, patisserie you get the idea so what could I have for lunch that won't damage the diet too much?
Soup would that be best?
Sandwich (filling and salad stuff only)

Thought about taking my own but haven't told anyone on diet yet so hoping to eat normally (or make it look like that!).

Any ideas please xxx

Frankly - a food court selling pizza, sandwich and patisserie just ain't gonna do it! (omelette? doubt they'd be able to if no cooking facilities!)

Good luck!

I hear you re not telling people you're on a diet, but try to suggest eating somewhere with steak + salad or seafood!!

Is it a food court place where they make up sandwiches, etc fresh to order? There is one of those in my home town and everything is made to order (out of the pre-prepared tubs of food, obviously). If so, maybe there's a baked potato option which to my mind is better than a sandwich - more fibre and you can just eat the skin without too much potato clinging to it? I'd order whatever has lowest amount of carbs and just eat the ham/chicken/tuna/whatever it's served with and the salad on the side, then say you're full, if that's possible.

(I'd also have a couple of hardboiled eggs before I go, if I'm not too late and you're not gone - they fill you up nicely - I only eat the white as I don't like hardboiled yolk, so no probs for the potential cholesterol issue. Fussy me, tsk)

surely you can just get a salad?

Def wasn't my choice of venue but did ok (I think) chicken caesar salad which was half eating by someone else anyway though should have thought to ask for the dressing on the side but only ate some chicken, couple bits of tomato and cucumber and few bits lettuce then had leftover turkey when I got home!
