Anyone had a gain in their 1st week?!?

Today was my 1st weigh in and I gained 1lb!! I'm trying not to be too disheartened as I did change from WW and go straight onto Slimming World, so perhaps this is the adjustment pound to now eating free foods (its also build up to *week)! I've stuck to it 100% and chosen foods wisely and not over eaten on the free foods so it's not like I've gorged with the freedom. Anyway this is now a fresh week so hopefully I will start to see losses soon...hopefully no more gains!!

I didn't have a gain in my first week, but I did gain 1lb in my second week and I was gutted - I hadn't done anything different from my first week, when I lost 3.5lb. I was following Extra Easy and my weight loss has been very sporadic on that ...I've had another 0.5lb gain since then and very low losses of 1.5lb one week, 1lb another week. I changed to Red days last week and lost 4lb, so I'm sticking with that this week and seeing what next week brings x

I have just swapped back to SW from WW as well and going back to class tonight, I'm preparing myself for a slight gain on the first WI next week and will have to keep myself in check not to overindulge in free foods this week lol.

I don't think 1lb is bad at all hun especially with both switching over and the dreaded * week as well, hopefully next week will give you a boost xx

Hiya
I have joined SW a few times and on the times I have come straight from doing WW I gained in my first week or stayed the same.
I remember once I also lost for 2 weeks and then gained the third, even though I stuck to it like the other weeks.
Hence why I have restarted a few times, the reason I come back is because I love SW and I do know that it works as I lost loads of weight years ago with it before I ever tried WW.
The problem is, that each time this has happened I have found it really hard to carry on and I also felt a bit silly, as I felt like people might think I wasn't telling the truth when I said I stuck to it.
I definatly think it does take a couple of weeks sometimes to adjust when you have been eating differently before.
I have just gone back again this week and I'm so worried about getting weighed on Thursday, I'm worried I might gain, but I'm more worried that if I do, I'll give up again.
I know it works, you just have to trust in it and carry on.
I'm glad you are looking at this as a fresh week and I'm sure if you stick with it, you'll see the results you deserve.
Good luck for this week x
