I will never give up
im just wandering how many people have actually done tfr then on to refeed and maintenance and actually kept the weight off as it seems like most people are on here for there 2nd or 3rd time. which is quite worrying if most people are going back to there old habits then its not worth doing it.
id love to hear of any one whos maintained for a while now.

My two cents. I haven't gone to maintenance, but here's the thing. Every diet, even the healthiest diet will see the majority gain it all and sometimes more back. For instance, I got down down to goal on WW mainted for a year plus and then. . . gained it all back. The diet alone isn't the problem, its the fact that years
and years of bad habits are so ingrained that they come back to haunt you.

So, that's what I'm going to try to manage this time. :D

It will all depend on your own ability to change your habits. TFR is no different than any other diet. It will be up to each individual how they want to go forward. Basically, if you go back to overeating or eating all the wrong foods all the time then you will regain. If you make an effort to change your lifestyle then you will maintain.
I did TFR for six months losing 87lbs. I refed carefully and followed a GL plan both as my new lifestyle plan and as a way to lose some more weight. I have maintained my LT losses and added another 26lbs to the total. I never feel deprived or on a diet.
Use your time on TFR to reflect on why you have gotten to where you are. This will help you plan your way forward after TFR.
