I am so excited, I am going to become a Cambridge Weight Plan Consultant! I am going on the training course next week! I really cant wait to get up and running. I am not sure about the ins and outs of setting up on my own but I am hoping it will become clear.

I also hope it will encourage me to be good myself, my BMI is just below 28 but ive been sticking for a while.

Is anyone else going on the training course next week?

If anyone could offer me any tips for setting up id really appreciate it. xx

Congrats! I'm not on the training course next week but how long is the training for?

Thanks! You have to do two full days one, then one again within 3 month. The majority of the work is coursework/modules that you have to work through. All about different subjects like obesity, cambridge weight plan, nutrition to business etc... I dont know exactly what the modules are I just know roughly. :) xx

Great news have thought about it myself what sort of qualities are they looking for and what sort of profit can be made ?

Im not exactly sure on the profit side, I dont expect to make a lot to start with as I will be trying to bget up and running. Your consultant may be able to give you a better idea really as I hoinestly dont know yet.

Well qualities, physically a BMI bleow 28. Other than that you need to show an understanding of the diet, be positive about it. Be a sociable, encouraging, empathic kind individual. etc.. etc... The best thing is to think in your mind what you woulod want out of a consultant and can you offer that. Well thats what I did. :)

id love to know the costs to as eventually i would like to do this

To become a cd consultant you first need your consultant to sponser you, and also have a BMI of 28 or below. I think the initial outlay is about £200 then you have to pass a telephone interview before going on the course, you then have modules to complete as said above in a certain time frame..best to talk to your cdc,as they are the ones who A) can give you all the info you need and B) there the only ones who can put you forward for the interview:)

Thanks for the information. It's very useful. Do you know how much the products cost to order from cambridge? Is it the same as we are charged or is it cheaper?

Hiya, i don't know how much the products cost, but there not the same cost as price we pay...think cambridge give a rrp and each individual consultant prices them at price they wish to sell.:)

Yes thats right the consultant buys it from Cambridge then sells it at a profit, there is set RRP's. All Consultants work on a self employed basis.

Setting up cost - You get charged £200 once you have been on the training day and passed the accreditation paper (like a mini test). But for this money you infact get start up paperwork needed and some of products. This is quite a lot but not a full range of products, so me personally will be ordering my next batch of items asap so I have one pack of each flavour its another starter pack cost just over £300. These are insentives to get you started.

So because of your initial outlay it would take a while to build up stock to a decent level then eventually you may see a profit. So I hope anyone wouldnt think its an easy way to make money. I dont know if this helps clear anything up. x

Congratulations and best of luck!

Good luck, its sounds really exciting x

I really want to become cambridge consultant too. I know my current consultant needs to refer me to Cambridge. Could she refuse to? Also, does she get anything for referring people to become consultants?

Hi There,

I doubt she would refuse you. Just say you are interested and check out her response!

It works on a sponsorship system. A bit like Avon. So if she sponsors you she will get a small bit of extra profit according to what you sell. It only seems reasonable as they are there to support you through your training etc..

Any questions PM me, id be happy to help. x
