OH NO! ME AND MY BIG MOUTH!!!

Well, I've gone and done it now!:(

I've made an appointment to see a mortgage advisor tomorrow morning, to try and see if I can get a better deal as mine has risen to £500 per month and I can't afford it.

Anyway, I've asked Steven (the ex hubby) if he'll come along with me because I know there's no way I'd get one on my part-time wage alone, so, we're going to see if we'd get one even though we're separated. I've a feeling that we'll have to tell a little white lie and pretend we're still together:sigh:

So, yesterday, we were actually talking calmly and politely to each other and he was complaining that his ma is giving him a bad time (he reluctantly had to move back in with her), nagging him etc.

So what do I blurt out before I've even thought about it?

"Well if we get enough with the re-mortgage to get the loft converted you could move in to it."

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY?????:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

What am I going to do now?!!:confused::confused:

Hmmmm I would wait until after the meeting and then tell him you were only messing and you couldnt cope with him under the same roof as you.....lol.

Tell him you'd had a few glasses of wine and imply temporary drunkeness hun!!!!!!!!!!!:eek::eek:

Unless of course it is what you subconsiously want? Said Barb, mischievously!

Oh no Mrs Depp thats something i would do !!! LOL

hope all is well hehehe !!!

Thanks for the replies - I had thought everyone was ignoring me as there were no replies for days:D Talk about thread stoppers! I was a thread starter and a thread stopper all at once!:(

Lucky at least it's only something you would've done! I've actually DONE it! And boy am I regretting it now:(

Thanks Sonya, I was thinking of doing that but only after we'd had the loft converted!;):D Tbh I don't know if I can cope with him living here permanently again, 3 nights is stressful enough.

Get a shovel and bail urself outta that hole you have started digging FAST!!

Tell him it just slipped out....u didnt actually mean it & he wud much prefer living wit his ma lol

Trouble is Kazz, his ma doesn't want him living with her either. She's got a 4 bedroom council house all to herself and she likes it that way:eek::mad:

Well, the 2nd appointment with the mortgage broker isn't going to happen tomorrow. I went through the charges we'd have to pay them and wasn't very happy with it. They want £100 tomorrow just to start the paperwork off. Then £99 for a valuation, then they want us to pay them 3% of the total re-mortgage sum at the end, plus other 'sundries'.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that sounds a bit too steep for my liking, so I'm going to get in touch with another broker and see what they come up with.

Haha Lacey! I could try that, but it just slipped out of my big gob one Sunday afternoon, before I could stop myself it had been said! Stoopid Carol!!

love it... pmsl... soooo funny

I know Gen, that Sonkie's a funny one isn't she?;):D Luv ya Sonks!

Unless of course it is what you subconsiously want? Said Barb, mischievously!

Barb! Wash your mouth out this minute! Never in a million years hun! Been there, done that, bought the t-shirt and thrown it in the bin too! I don't know how many times I've been asked that by friends and family, it's never gonna happen!:p

Sorry Mrs D - just being a tinker!

Love

S'okay Barb, I took it that way too hehe!:D I'm a bit of a tinker myself sometimes! Sort of have a 'dry' sense of humour!:D

Oh thanks Karen, I'll get on to them tomorrow. Don't see why I should put my hard earned wages into someone elses bank account if I don't need to;):D

indeed not! we r dealing with them and my sister is as well. they r so so approachable. they get paid by the mortgage ppl so u get the saving. all done over fone as well which is a bonus! best of luck. i think my sister had a fee of a couple hundred because she was getting her hubby taken off mortgage (they split) but they worked that fee onto the mortgage so she wasnt fishing in her pocket there and then.

hope that helps. xxx

as for the ex...i would do the whole denial thing. when he brings it up...look at him as tho u suspect hes been on a crack pipe and ask him why on earth u would ever have suggested summit that daft. tut a lot and shake ur head in disbelief. if u r really convincing, he may start to doubt it ever happened :D

Thanks for the advice Karen:D I phoned L & C this morning and they're having a look for a suitable mortgage. The lady I spoke to was very nice and said she'll hopefully have something for me on Friday. It's a pity I can't get my ex taken off the mortgage too, but I only work part-time :( Oh well, maybe in a couple of years...... in the meantime, he's gonna have to cough up and stay on the paperwork even though he doesn't want to either.

Or just say 'Oh my god, you dont actually think I was serious do you??? Dont you remember why we split up???' or something along those lines lol

Hehe Kazz:D:D Maybe I'll string him along till I get the re-mortgage and then 'forget' what I said.:D
