Awful Day

I have had an awful day today, I had a great loss in the first week but last week only lost a 1lb and a half and looking at my scales I have hardly lost again this week, I have been really good and stuck to the diet 100% (I am doing SS+) so I am on a downer and I have been taking it out on my husband, he has been quiet good, but today he brought me breakfast in bed to cheer me up, not ideal as you know but his heart was in the right place and he made me scrambled egg with just egg whites and some black coffee, I did eat it (for my 200 cals on SS+) but then we had to go shopping and he wanted some beer, he said why didnt I get some drink, I got right to the check out and then said oh go and get me some vodka. Got home and had a shake, got my head in the right place again and put the vodka away for some other time, but I am really thinking what is the point, I dont seem to be losing anything anyway, I am getting obsessed with the scales and OH is saying he would prefer me fat than this obsessed with my weight, sorry to waffle on xx

I think you need to look at what you have achieved hun rather than what you've not. You've done amazing you've lost a stone in two weeks thats fab. Keep at it and look at what you have achieved it will start to dipping again :)

awh poor you, good for u putting the vodka away though!! i'm only just at the end of my first week so i cant comment on why ur not losing the weight but what i will say is that u should bin ur scales and just get weighed at the weekly weigh in. when u check ur scales too often and dont see results that please you it knocks your motivation and leaves u thinking exactly the way u are ''whats the point!''

thats what happens to me aswell. so i make a point of not goin near them now.

really hope ur feeling better soon, hang in there and keep ur chin up xxx

I agree.

Keep your chin up and keep going. You will start to lose again eventually.

Try to look at the 'bigger picture' - someone on here said to focus on what you will lose in the end rather than on the individual weeks - it helps a lot :) Keep going it will all be worth it, but I agree, bin the scales (mind you, I do it every day too and shouldn't!!)
Keep your chin upx

As others have said, try and look at the big picture. If you are following SS+ correctly then there is nothing more you can do. That should be your aim each day and each week, to control what you eat by sticking to the plan. The losses will happen, but don't feel let down if there are a few slow weeks, this is quite common and it's nothing to worry about. If the scales are putting doubt in your mind, then daily weighing isn't recommended. Ask your OH to hide them somewhere while you aren't looking and only weigh in with your CDC. :)
