16to10s Weight Loss Diary - Week 1 Over...

16to10

Now Maintaining :)
Week 1
The start of the week was quite tough. On days 1 and 2 I found myself thinking about food alot and counting down the hours until I could eat. I must be honest, at that point I didn't think I would make it through the week.

The temptations to eat junk food were definitely there. Last Sunday my family decided to get a take away but I resisted. It was soo hard sitting there watching them eat fried chicken, chips etc but I got through it. I just saw it as my first test.

I has another test today. It was my sister in law's birthday so I had to say no to eating the yummy birthday cake! And they decided to get Macdonalds too which I said no to as well.

So overall, I would say week 1 has been tough at times but also very rewarding. I am proud to say that I have stuck to the diet 100% and as a result of it am already seeing the difference in myself. Other people are starting to compliment me on my weight loss too which has been such a huge boost to me and kept me going at hard times.

I had my first weigh in this morning and am pleased to tell you all that I lost a total of
8lbs this week! :talk017:

I am really pleased about this and hope to see similar losses in the weeks to come. :D

Extremely well done. Considering what you have endured, I am not surprised how happy you are.

The first week is usually the biggest loss, which is mainly retained water. So don't expect to see 8lbs every week. The average loss is around 3-4lbs, but everyone is different and there are so many variables, even though we are all on the same diet.

Just continue to stick to the plan and it should be the quickest way for you to lose the weight. :)

Wow that is great well done. I have had to do the same and watch people tuck into meals and cakes and it is the hardest thing to do. But in doing so I am so proud of myself - so you should be too. I have printed photos of me when I was slim and keep looking at them when I am feeling low and when they are all eating loads!! Well done on your first weeks loss - I hope that I can do that too! I think I chose a bad time to go on holiday (am on day5). Ho hum!

well done.keep up the good work
