Milk question

Just wondering if anyone know if 1% is better than semi skimmed. I use milk&more and its the same price so just thought it might be better. Sorry and by better i mean healthier

I dont like skimmed at all so please dont suggest using that one:)

We either use Cravendale or Tesco Pure. I only have milk in drinks but prefer it to "normal" semi-skimmed.

If we run out and have to get some from the corner shop we can definately tell the difference.

Skimmed milk doesn't go down well in our household either, too "watery".

Is that 1%?

Yes 1% is better than semi basically it's between skimmed and semi
Skimmed is 0.1% fat, semi is 3% I think, and 1% is obviously 1%!
it's what we have cos my b/f doesn't like skimmed and I don't like semi in tea! Hope this helps you!

You get the same amount of 1% as a HEA as semi skimmed, so although it is marginally better for you, it's not better from a SW perspective.

Its between semi skimmed and skimmed.

Not much difference in it, there's the argument that you get the same amount of calcium in all milks , I think even the argument you get marginally more in skimmed, but then you need some fat to absorb the vitamin D as its a fat soluble vitamin. So although you are taking in less fat, its got disadvantages in that you lose some of the fat to bind fat soluble vitamins.

I drink Semi as its a good compromise for me, BUT, the 1% stuff is 50p for 4 L in Morrisons at the moment, so switched to that and still measure as per semi skimmed as per my C's instructions.

Its negligible the amount of difference it will make to weight loss.

i only have a little bit in my coffee and dont have it in anything else, i was just wondering if its slightly better for you. So if its less that semi i may as well get that one.

Thanks

The 1% milk has less fat than the semi-skimmed (which usually has between 1.5 and 1.8% fat), but the difference isn't that great :) SW still allows the same amount of the 1% milk (250 ml) so it's down to your personal preference hun :) xxx
