We have no microwave, no kettle no fridge, nothing. We have a cafe, & the caterers refuse to let us have those things, cos it takes their business away if we can prepare hot foods on site. So I take cold cooked pasta n sauces. Yummy cold! I also cook loads of roasted veg (peppers onions, mushrooms, carrots courgettes etc etc), & keep a bag of it in the freezer. Add a handful & stir them into the pasta for a change. Ditto Supernoodles. You can let those soak in hot water for a few mins, they're so thin, they soon soften up. (We can at least access hot water from the drinks machine so I use that!) Take a tub of roasted veg with you. I have a hot food flask too, & microwave jacket potatoes, then skin them (I know you're supposed to eat the skin too, but soft skin, yerghh! So I keep the skins then crisp up in the oven for later...I'm having the fibre, just not at the same time!) then take in the food flask with some VLF cottage cheese, & salad. Keeps piping hot til lunchtime. Veg soups? HexB sandwiches? Hot spaghetti in tom sauce, or baked beans? On EE, tuna on potatoes?
I've tried taking hot pasta but it just goes mushy. Hope this gives you some ideas x
