Cambridge and CFS

Hi everyone

Haven't been on in such a long time. Did Cambridge end of

last year and think its just the best diet. Haven't been well

since Xmas and trying but failing to get back on. Now Ive

been told that I've got Chronic Fatigue Syndrome(CFS)

Am desperate to get back on Cambridge and too scared to

ask the doctor if this type of diet will make my condition

worse.

Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks

Hi Scarlet,

Very sorry to hear you have not been well.

I don't think Sole Sourcing would be good for you if your not well and have CFS.

But I am sure you could do one of the other plans and still lose weight.

I would think your best to discuss this with your doctor and your CDC and come up with a plan that will suit.

By starting on one of the higher steps you can work down as you feel your health is improving.

I myself was down with Shingles and I started back last week on Step 2 of CD 790 plan as I feel I would not be up to doing SSing.

I love the rapid weight loss with SSing and as such was anxious about doing Step 2. I am happy to report I lost 4lbs.

I have no idea how my weight loss is going to be on average over the month, but I do feel this is a plan I can live with.

I hope that helps some.

Thanks Mini. Not sure bout asking the doctor lol...I'm too

much of a baby but will check it out with my CDC.

Thanks for you advice.

So sorry you have CFS, I had that about 5 years ago and it was such an exhausting time. I agree with Mini that I bet 790 or 1000 plan would be great for you but that ss would probably not be enough for you. The way I got over it was to rest, get light exercise and eat a really good balanced diet. it took about 6 weeks past diagnosis until I could get to work part time and by 3 months I was pretty much me again. I would definitely ask your Dr their advice, they know exactly what's best to do and I guess your CDC will need their approval anyway. good luck and get better soon.

Scarlet, my sister has CFS and was advised that she should be doing GI eating basically. Apparently it has a hugely positive effect on the condition, of course she is steadfastly not doing so and eating crap still ,so I can't comment on effectiveness! As for SS, I don't think you should lie about your condition, you wouldn't want to slow your recovery. But if is like anything else to do with CFS then nobody will be able to give you an answer, they will just play it safe. Of course who knows, the RDA and low GI might make you feel better!

The advice has been such a boost. It is nice to know that

there are others with the same condition as I sometimes feel

that I am on my own or it is all in my head. I wiil follow the

advice given. Thank you so much emMUK and Maddy.
