Yet more concerns!

When will they bloody end!!!!

Answer: when baby is in my bloody arms that's when!!!

Midwife cancelled app this afternoon cause she is ill and booked me in for 2nd of september.......that means a whole three weeks since my last app!!!! and I'm nearing the end!

Well I rang the midwifes back up and managed to get a home app for next thursday at home. But still you would have thought that they would think 3 weeks is far to long between apps at this stage. It's really pi$$ed me off in all honesty. why? well because last week when she saw me baby was free and lots of room to swish and move about as she believes or mentioned I might have a lot of water! And I think she would have got the ball rolling today to investigate this further.

I don't feel like baby has dropped and I'm not feeling anything heavy between my legs or lower down yet.

Now this has me thinking what if baby has wrapped the cord around herself many times because of the amount of water. or what if My waters go first (like they did with dd1) and the cord comes out first because she is high up!!!

God i could write many swear words down right now, but then I'd probably get kicked off the forum!

Oh I really feel for you, to be offered an appt in 3 weeks time at your stage and with your concerns is downright irresponsible:mad:
I am glad you rang back up to ask for an earlier appt. unfortunately some people feel unable to speak up for themselves and when things like this happen you NEED to look out for No 1 as no one else seems to, so good for you. Will it be your own MW next week or a locum? Whoever it is be sure to get some answers, take care, Jo

I hope you get some good news next week and all works out okay. Definitely don't think a long gap between appointments is good at your stage.

Do you have a midwife shop / drop in centre by you? We have one here in town (seems to be a rare thing) and you can pop in and see a midwife, I guess get checked over if you've got concerns etc. Not been there myself, but it sounds a good idea.

A drop in center! Wow! that would be nice....but no such luck near me.

I know what you mean jo, but luckily I'm not one for being too shy when it comes to thinks like these, so at least now she is coming out next thursday.....best i could do!

I'm just shocked they didn't think of this themselves! and I was so flipping angry and worried earlier, but I have calmed myself a bit now, and if she isn't head down then I'm going to demand a scan to see whats going on inside there.

Thanks guys for your support as always.

Hopefully next week she will be head down and engaged as I will be 2 days away from 37 weeks and if she is still breech the chance of her turning at this stage are slim I think!

Ohh it will be my usual mw as she is coming to my home. Thankfully, as I have never seen the same doctor twice as my hospital!

2nd babies tend to engage later than first babies and some don't even engage until the contactions push them down!
