Please help me find my mojo!

Hi all :wavey:

I've been lurking for a few weeks now and been stealing all your lovely advice and tips! I've lost weight before with SW, so I know it works, but I put it all back on again.

I really want to lose the weight again but I keep getting caught in a vicious circle of bingeing because I feel down about my weight, then eating more because I'm fed up with myself for bingeing. Crazy!

Anyway, I just wanted to say hello and thanks for the tips/recipes etc and wondered if anyone had any ideas for breaking the emotional eating cycle and getting off to a good start again.

Hi Miss Moneypenny, I could have written an identical post today as that is exactly how I am feeling. I think something snapped in me today though and I realised there is only one person who can make me how I want to be, and that is me! Chocolate, bread, chips...all those things we turn to when we feel like crap are certainly not our friends. I'd been doing really well until a few weeks ago, and once I fell off the wagon, that was it, I was gone! Id woken up all the tastebuds for crap that I'd managed to get rid off. But I'm back to business now and I'm going to do it...one way or another! Planning to take every day as it comes and now promise I'll do a 100% week, because then I'll only be disgusted with myself if i fail....and the cycle of eating when depressed coud start again! Good luck..

Thanks for the reply Bananarama. Sometimes it's just a relief to know you're not the only one going through it isn't it?! Hope you're having a good day today.
I feel a little more positive today. Had a good 100% day yesterday which always helps. I am very proud of myself for not buying chocolate at the petrol station this morning. Normally I would talk myself into a Twirl when paying for my petrol but today I bought a bottle of Really light Ribena and a pack of chewing gum. It's the little things that make a difference....
One time I do struggle with is my long drive to work. I get bored and tend to snack on my lunch which means I've got nothing left for the afternoon when my tummy's rumbling. If anyone's got any ideas for easy-to-grab snacks for the car, I'd love to hear them!

Alpen light bars - you get two for a HexB!
Fruit - cut up and put in a tub and you can pick at that too :)

I find the way to get out of a crap-food cycle and into the SW mode de vie is PLAN, PLAN, PLAN. Plan all your meals and snacks (and treats too, you mustn't deprive yourself) and write yourself a shopping list. Stick like glue to your list when you shop (DON'T go to the supermarket when hungry!!), then go for it. One 100% day will lead to a 100% week in no time, and then you'll realise it's not too hard and actually quite yummy. And then before you know it you're in the SW habit of things!!! :)

Good advice Prawnchopsuey. X

Good luck on finding your mojo :)
