Wash your veg thoroughly before cooking

big bear

A bear on a mission!
I had brocolli from Tesco give it a wash (well so I thought) I was dishing it up for dinner & found a caterpillar..yuck

So please wash your veg properly before cooking.

ewww! Lucky you saw it. I've found loads of little caterpillas in my blackberries. I have to check each one now incase I eat one.

nice! surely they have some sort of duty to inspect it before they put it on the shelf!

At least you know it was tasty veg! Passed the caterpillar taste test

It nearly went on H plate...lmao

Hope you were on a red day! ;-D

Now that made me laugh !!! That is the ultimate in positive thinking.

What does Imao mean ??

eewwwwww.
hmmmm i think you may just have put me off brocolli for life, lol!!! i will now be face in it inspeting it for hours before i eat it!! lol!

I once found 3 caterpillars in a tin of Tesco tomatoes  I sent them in and got a voucher back.

I'm used to this as my veg mostly comes from the garden!! The cabbages are a haven for caterpillers so they get a really good salt water wash.

Thing is, they can inspect the outside of the brocolli but if the little critter crawled right in, there's no way they would be able to tell surely?

Of course we never think of the poor assistant in all this! sorry to all!
Would a salt wash get rid of caterpillars as well I wonder? One to try in future
