Extra Easy Struggling - help please

Have been doing SW for about a month now and lost 6 pounds in total - have lost the plot this week and feeling really demotivated. All advice gratefully received.

Hiya Anne

Well done on your weight loss so far :D its terrific! What you have to remember is that its coming off not going on and any loss is an achievement. Give yourself a pat on the back because at least your doing something about it.

Key things to remember are to only eat when your hungry and not just because you can! Have you been keeping a food diary? And are you drinking plenty of water because if you don't drink enough your body will hold on to water. Your body needs time to adjust to the changes, and every one loses at a different rate. And if its that time of the month it wont help either. Also its worth thinking about the fact that you might not be eating enough especially if your exercising.

Slow and steady wins the race ;) don't be disheartened because at least on SW you can eat and live and not have to put up with hunger!

Don't give up you've got nothing to lose but weight by carrying on. Try and fill up on Superfree foods before you go for free food. Remember 1 third of your plate is suppose to be superfree food. Maybe go back to basics and weight all your HEX a and b's its easy to over estimate.

Have you spoken to your SW consultant she may be able to help. I find staying to class (however annoying all the clapping is ;)) quite helpful. The rest of the group will be supportive and encouraging and someone will prob have experienced the same.

Don't lose site of your goal and please don't give up on yourself... your worth more than that xx

Hello Anne :)

I think I can understand where you're coming from; I have had times where a week or two into a diet / new eating plan over the last five years (I never dieted before that) when I loose all motivation and go nuts... eating everything in sight just because the feeling that I'm on a diet is too much to bear, and after that it just goes downhill... the thing is, now, when I look back, I realize that I could have lost *all* the weight I had to loose twice over and more if I'd stuck to it then, and that is what keeps me on track now. This will be the last time I do this, because we are so worth looking after ourselves.

Just remember that one slip, or ten doesn't mean you can't carry on... pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and remember why you were doing this in the first place :)

Make tomorrow the first day, and start over, you know you're worth it... :) And although I've only been here a short time, this site is filled to the brim with kind, friendly people to help you stay strong along the way :)

Good luck, you know you can do it, Kay xx

Pick up some seasonal fruit - cherries, strawberries, english plums. Taste fantastic and will remind you you can eat amazing food whilst loosing weight and you won't get those kind of flavours eating rubbish.

Thank you

To all who replied - thank you so much for your kind advice. Today I have managed to eat everything in sight but thankfully it is WI tomorrow so I will go and stay for image therapy which I couldn't stop to last week because I had my little girl with me who refuses to stay point blank. I think I am one of those members who needs to stay to the meeting no matter what to power my brain up with motivation for the coming week. We are on holiday the following week around the Western area so I have looked up a meeting and I am going to go while we are away so I don't completely blow it!
