Was wondering what salad dressings we are allowed, or if ayone ahs any recipes they could point me in the direction of please

Vinaigrette Maya


  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard or Meaux a l'acienne


  • 5 tablespoons balsamic vinegar


  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil


  • 1 garlic clove


  • 7-8 fresh or frozen chopped basil leaves


  • salt and black pepper

Take an old mustard jar and fill it with all the ingredients, mixing very thoroughly. If you like garlic, leave a clove to marinate in the bottom of the jar.
 
Vegetable bouillon vinaigrette


  • 1 low-fat vegetable bouillon cube
  • 2 tablespoons hot water
  • 1 level teaspoon cornflour

  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon French Meaux a l'acienne
Dilute the bouillon cube in hot water, add the cornflour, vinegar and mustard and mix together well.
 
Dukan Herb Mayonnaise


  • 1 raw egg yolk
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 3 tablespoons non-fat fromage frais/quark
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley or chives
  • salt and black pepper
Put the egg yolk in a mixing bowl and combine with the mustard. Season with salt and peper and add the herbs. Gradually mix in the fromage frais or quark, stirring continuously. Mayonnaise must be refridgerated.
 
Alternative oil-free Mayonnaise


  • 1 hard-boiled egg
  • 55g (2oz) non-fat fromage frais/quark
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • salt and black pepper
 
Vinaigrette Salad Dressing

For a delicious salad dressing.
Ingredients

* 1 tsp rosemary and garlic seasoning
* 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
* 1/8 cup extra virgin olive oil
* 1 tsp garlic

Directions

1. Put all of the ingredients in a blender for 30 seconds.
2. Store the remaining dressing in an airtight container.

 
Creamy Salad Dressing

A creamy salad dressing with all the taste and far less calories.
Ingredients

* 1 container natural yogurt, low fat
* 1 tsp ground black pepper
* 1 tbsp mint
* 1 lemon yields lemon juice
* 1 tsp lemon zest
* 2 cloves garlic

Directions

1. Place all ingredients in a bowl and whisk together.
2. Note: this dressing works equally well served with pasta - extremely tasty and rich.

(I just use a little vinegar, mustard, herbs and fromage frais! I'd definitely begrudge any calories/carbs on cornflour and/or oil!)
 
I use just vinegar , herbs, lemon juice and garlick, I begrudge using my fromage frais even, lol, not know if I could put olive oil in my mouth.
 
best not go there... although it is a tiny quantity you'd actually put in your mouth!
