lipotrim or slimfast??

:wave_cry:Hi everyone!! ive only just registered myself on here after weeks of reading all your discussions and supporting each other on weight loss and ive got to say its very inspiring. i myself is doing the lipotrim and ohh my god its sooo hard ive been on it for a week now but ive got to say for the first 3 days i cheated by having a small meal i couldnt help myself i had to have it. But it i stuck to it after reading some of the comments from here. i went in for my first weigh in last saturday and i only lost 4ibs but i know i would of lost more if i didnt eat. so i vowed and promised i wasnt going to put anything pass my mouth unless it is lipotrim. Anyway now recently ive been thinking about the slimfast diet as maybe it would be better for me because i get to eat a healthy meal in the evening and just have the two shakes breakfast and lunch no snaks in between my boyfriend was trying to encourage me to go on this aswell as he knows i love my food and he feels guilty that when hes eating a nice meal he has to go in the other room other wise im looking at him like a hungry puppy that sits underneath the table at family mealtimes.lol. but i cant find myself to as im afraid i wont loose as much weight with slimfast then i do with lipotrim poeple say it gets easier if i stick to it but cant help but wonder if slimfast is better i really need help i was:cry:b4 because i was soo confused . thanks guys xxxxxxx

I suppose it all depends how much you really want to loose the weight. I have never done slimfast so cant really comment on its success rate.

Lipotrim isint for everyone as it is very strict. However, I have done a lot of diets in my time and nothing has come anywhere near to the weight losses everyone seems to achieve on Lipotrim.

There is no point in doing Lipotrim if you are going to cheat as you are only fooling yourself. If you are committed to it and stick to it 100% you will see serious weight losses really quickly. If you cheat you wont.

Its def a diet you have to be in the right frame of mind to do and only you can know whether you are or not.

Best of luck with whatever you decide to do. If you do go with it def keep coming on this website as people here are amazing and so supportive of each other.
 
I did slimfast for a week years ago and put on weight. The problem was the healthy meal in the evening. I would have too much food and then a few snacks would creep in and that's that diet out of the window!

With LT I find I can stick to it 100%. If no food is allowed at all, I have no food at all.

Totally agree that this is a diet you have to be ready to do. You have to really want to lose the weight and stick to the diet for it to work effectively. If you want to eat meals maybe this isn't the diet for you or maybe ask your pharmacist about the maintenance side of the diet.

Thankyou soo much guys, everyone soo friendly here and i know ill loose my weight. ill defo stick to lipotrim scince ive been on it my skin has improved ive been suffering with mild acne for 8 years now and scince ive been on the diet its been clearing my depression has improve soo much im finding myself happy all the time and socialising with peope so im going to stick to it thank you every body for yor support. A journey like this is best done not alone :) xxx
 
hi guys thank you so much for your replys. yeah i get what you mean that i have to really want it, i judt didnt relise how hard it was, but i am going to stick to it i dont know about you but i have found that scince ive been on this diet its improve my skin soo much ive suffered with mild acne for 8 years now and scince ive been on this diet my acne has been clearing i also found that my depression is slowly going? im finding myself happy all the time and waking up looking forward to the day so yeah this diet is doing me wonders aswell as helping me loose the weight. thank you soo much for your support good luck with yours a journey like this is done best not alone xx

I have to agree with all the above comments. I did SF and lost a bit, but you do have to be strict with the meal you eat. I am finding LT easier as I don't have to think about what I'm eating, theres no choice, which is good for me!
Once you get your first couple of weeks done you'll feel better about it, but you must stick to it 100% to see the results and you will only be cheating yourself out of weight loss if you nibble!

Hi milkshake junkie, just wanted to add my hello!
I did slimfast too and the shakes are still in the cupboard. I too found it hard as it felt like I had to hold in my hunger and manage on will power. Did you watch the LT dvd on the website or from your chemist? It says that food is an addiction but we are expected to have a little of the addictive substance whereas with alcohol or drugs treatment that does not work so why should it with food? In their answer - it doesn't hence the yo yo we end up doing. With LT we don't have the temptation of food and once in ketosis we don't feel hungry. Its working for me (day 7 I think) and I am protecting my ketosis with all my effort as I think its the key to success. Wishing you lots of luck this week. xx

I find that if I would do Slimfast, same as with the Lipotrim maintenance, I don't stick with it. My healthy meal becomes a too big portion or a snack here and there.
I'm the kind of person that needs to be strict on myself. It's either all or nothing.
I never do well on the diets that restrict things, I only do well on the diets that restrict everything!

It all depends on what kind of person you are.
If you have a lot of discipline, then maybe doing Slimfast is good for you.
If you find you can't say no to too much food, then you'll need Lipotrim.
The first week is hell! It is seriously the hardest week out of all of them, I find.
It never gets easy, but it does get easier as the weeks go along.

hi tinkerbell, yes i did watch the dvd from the pharmacist but i got to tell you it was difficult to try and take it all in as i was soo excited about the diet and i had half an hour to watch the dvd before the chemist shut and i didnt want to wait 2 days till it opened, so i watched it but didnt take it in properly, but now i know i had to read up again on the whole ketosis thing and now i understand how and why we lose the weight prety quick and also how really important it is to drink alot of water with the diet. Congrads to all yous who lost weight on it 20ibs in 1 week is amazing well done for stiking to it and thanks you guys for the support . xxxxx
