Dia Dhuit Puisín

is back on the wagon!
Hey guys, :sign0144:

I was wondering if you could help me.

I'm on Weight Watchers and my daily allowance is 20 points.

This coming Sunday I have my wedding anniversary (dinner out :candledinner: - a Chinese - and the cinema) and the following Saturday night is my 30th birthday party. :party0048:

Apart from saving points and exercise points does anyone have any suggestions? Can anyone give me any zero points recipes that don't contain mushrooms (cause I'm allergic
:9529:)?

I want to keep losing weight. I don't want to fall off of the wagon. :whip:

Thanks in advance.

you can still eat within your points at the chinese :) i have foo yung 4 points, chicken chow mein 7.5 points and char sui pork 4 points those points are for the whole serving so if you were to have half of each one i think you would be pretty full and only eating a small amount of points.

I made a low cal soup the other day... google.... italian vegatable no point soup its yummmy :)

alchohol - hmmm well i would save enough to get you nice and merry and if you get the munchies after, Have a yummy chicken shish kebab with pitta and salad for a lowfat treat :)

good luck and have a brilliant week xx

soup is always a winner for 0 points!! It doesnt have to have mushrooms in, just make up your own with whatever you have :D Butternut squash is a favorite on here, i add some spices to give it a kick :giggle:

malibu!!!! :D :D haha only 0.5 for a single... but if you have two i think it's classed as 1.5 points, but so worth it hehe

as for chinese if you look around on here just a bit further down the page from the main i think there is a thread along the lines of 'mmm chinese' in there, there is a huge list of chinese foods and their points :) the key is to either save a few points each day until your meal out / party, or save the points after the meal/party for the remaining days before your weigh in to be on the safe side :)

enjoy oh and welcome lol :D xx

Spirits and diet mixers are low points. Stay away from baileys or anything creamy, wine is ok, but I would rather get a vodka and long mixer, get drunk quicker and have more to drink :D

Chinese food isn't too bad at all, just don't be like me and munch loads of prawn crackers... hehehe

I like slima soups (diet version of cuppa soups) for one point, not free but for the convinience it's worth the point.

Veggie or turkey stir fry's with peppers, onions, cabbage, beansprouts for 1pt veggie or about 4points with turkey.

One hint though, don't have less than 16 points a day, as tempting as it is to save more, I tried and it didn't work! all that saving and I STS.

I love ratatouille, I roast some veg - eg peppers, courgettes, cherry tomatoes, caroots, parsnips, swede, butternut squash etc in the oven then add tinned toms, and herbs and some garlic. Thats all free, but you can add lentils/chickpeas etc if you want to bulk it up with only a point or 2.

Thanks guys. I'm not really bothered about alcohol as I don't really drink. What I'm worried about is the finger food being laid on at my party and the birthday cake. (chocolate - my favourite)

I've got ingredients so I can make up the soup and maybe the ratatouille. Wish me luck.

Have a fantastic birthday and remember that its not every day you have this special day so dont beat yourself up as you sound very determined .Digging into my Irish from a long time ago is it something like "la breithe hona dhuit? I might just have said "give your friend a kick" but I hope not xxMaria xx

Thanks Irish Eyes :thankyou:

You didn't tell me to kick anyone, lá breithe shona duit is the Irish for Happy Birthday. My birthday's the 25th but due to family (in laws) committments I'm having the party on the 21st. I'm planning on having a fun time on the day :talk017::woohoo: (after my weigh in :scale: - they had to fall on the same day, hadn't they!) :sigh:

I'll let ye know how I get on with my weigh ins up to that and on that day.

Take care.

enjoy your birthday. Personally I would just go out, enjoy yourself and try and make up the points after. Have a fab time

Enjoy your birthday and get back on board the next day. Mine was 2 weeks ago and to be honest we kinda included our 1st wedding anniversary too (which is tomorrow) as family were around for the Bank Holiday. We had a choccie fountain, finger food and more importantly chocolate biscuit cake too. And I didn't put on anything but I didn't lose either. :break_diet:Your birthday only comes round once a year and you can enjoy it without going overboard.

Happy Anniversary LadyVegas

Oh crap. I ate 1/2 a point away from double my allowance for my anniversary. Thankfully between exercising and saving points I was only 5 points above which I can shave off between now and Wednesday, my weigh in.

Anyway, the cinema was fun and I had a lovely meal so it was definitely worth it. Now I just have to get through my birthday party and my actual birthday. :sigh:

ah enjoy it and be careful fo a few days after it!!!

Even with everything I still lost 1lb. :)

Thank you all.

:553: Party tomorrow night so I'll enjoy it. :553:

I have evil plans for my actual birthday. A local shop has just opened a gigantic Weight Watchers section so I'll be able to get myself a pizza and some garlic dough balls and still stay with in my points! :bliss:

Well. I had my post-party :553: weigh in :scale: and

:woohoo::bliss:I lost 1.5lbs!:bliss::woohoo:
:bday: Now to go, relax, celebrate my birthday and be treated like a queen. :queen:
