Starting the plan again!

Hey guys

I've started the points plan again today. I lost a total of 35lbs from Nov 08 - Feb 09. It was amazing and I felt really healthy. I attended the class until Dec 08 however money all of a sudden became tight and I had to make a decision to do the plan on my own, but my weight loss didn't suffer.

I kept the weight off for a year. I gained weight after I had undergone surgery and I must admit I let myself go a bit. Just discovered this website and omg what a support! Im going on holiday 5 wks today and would love to loose 13lbs, which im hoping will be more than achievable...

Im going to post my results as I go along so hopefully this will help with my motivation. Due to my height, job, age etc I am allowed 17 points a day - not a huge amount given I like to have a wee drink at the weekend and need to keep points for this lol...:):):)

09.08.10 - 9.13lbs

hey welcome ! 17 points is very low, the lowest i know someone on is 18... have you worked them out correctly?? either way if your on 17... it is low but best way to get on with it and succeed is to eat a lot of zero pointed foods :) so stock up on sugar free jelly, zero pointed soup, veg etc and you will be well away! :) good luck there is loads of information on here if you shimmy around lol, oh and best bet will be fish, chicken and turkey as these are fab for you and low in points as well as 50/50 crustless bread 0.5 point each flora extra light 0.5 point per 10gs which is loads! and also wafer thin meats in packets, plus noodles and salad lol, thats the most filling and low pointed foods i can think of for you to be able to get on well be full up and stick to 17 points :) good luck!

Welcome!!

you did so well before there is nothing stopping you this time! :D

Thanks guys, I can't believe ive just discovered this website! its a brill support...yeah smirky I thought 17 points was low too but im 5.3", 25yrs and I sit for must of the day with the type of job I do so im only allowed 17 points :( ive double checked it and it seems right...heyho but the thing I struggle with isn't 17 a day its more the saving of points for the weekend. I like ww wine and at 6 points a bottle it ideal. So i'll be eating 16 points I think for this treat lol...I can remember my consultant had told me don't go lower than 16 points a day as it isn't healthy so im pretty happy with that :)

how is everyone else finding it ?? I must say I love ww. When I started it everyone I knew couldn't believe how much I had lost, it is a good plan if you stick with it xxx

i love WW, even if this could be the first week in ages ive actually lost weight after being on a lonnnnnng plateu. ive gone it alone on my journey up till 2 months or so ago when i wanted to mix things up and as ive lost with WW before i thought id give it a go again.. hopfully this will start to kick to everything, onto the home straight of to goal :)

im on 17 points a day too and i never feel hungry.. most days i dont even eat the full 17... i find weight watchers very flexible easy to fit in diet.. best of luck with your journey xo

I'm on the same points too. Historically I could always loose the extra when I've needed to with exercise and cutting back ever so slightly. However, now with a disability thats crept on and increased over past 3 years (had it all my life with on and off problems but only suffered consistently for this long) my only exercise is a bit of daily physio so its tougher to loose.

I totally understand pinkgirl, I lost weight ok but after my surgery it went a bit downhill. I find 17 points is a good number to keep me satisfied and still loose weight, wooopeee! the only thing I struggle with is trying to save points for a drink at the weekend. Think I need to be a saint for a few weeks lol :))
