2 weeks down

BigS

Real name Seán
Will have my weigh-in tomorrow.

This weekend was a tough one. I was away in my caravan in Donegal. This usually involves me taking a walk into town in the morning, buying the papers then up to the local for a load of pints of Guinness. On top of this it is impossible to hide from the small of food inside a caravan and the smell of BBQs outside.

I survived and stayed strong. I then came home and out of curiousity decided to try on some clothes. I was at a Wedding 2 weeks ago (2 days before I started TFR). When wearing the trousers I couldn't use the little metal clip as I had to move the button from it's original spot to fit into them. Just tried them on and they now fit perfectly in the buttons original spot and metal clip.

I then tried a pair of trousers that were about 3/4 an inch from even buttoning and I can button them too. Also tried a t-shirt that was tight and it looks fine.

I'm over the moon and I've went from thinking 'is it worth it ?' and 'can I really do this for 6-8 solid weeks ?' to massive determination and drive.

To anyone finding the start hard, trust me, stick with it. You'll get your reward.

Oh excellent motivation there BigS, just what I needed to hear. I envy you the weekend in Donegal, even with the food - I spent mine tidying my daughter's room - I've never seen anything quite like the amount of crap that came out of it.

Finishing week 1 and it still isn't second nature, but I'm in this for the next 6 weeks too. :)

Well done Big S, you are doing so well, i just keep remembering that food will always be there when we stop LT its not forever and id far rather sit down for a nice meal and be slim. Keep up the good work xx

I find it easy enough during the week with work but the weekends are tough and with the football back next week they're gonna get tougher. You will always want to eat food and will always be tempted, that will never go away. As posted below though, the food will be there at the end of the diet aswell and I know I'll enjoy it more and appreciate it more with a few stone off and a million compliments. I'm avoiding as many people as possible for as long as possible also as it is hard to gauge my loss with people who see me every day.

All true. Forgot to say - good luck for tomorrow!

Oops! Why is there weird writing above my lovely new ticker??

Thats great Su. Why did I never try this diet before? so many times I have tried to lose weight in 3 weeks for a holiday when I could have been on lipotrim. Arrghh.

Ace!! Thats just the sort of motivation I need! Ive just finished my first week and lost 9lbs (although the conversion makes it sound more online... ) I'm finding it hard not to eat socially - having a hubby who sits and eats fish and chips next to me while I have a shake doesnt exactly help.
I'm not hungry, just miss food and miss tastes.
You were so good not to eat while you were on hols, that must have taken so much willpower - I know I would have folded. Well done you!!

Good for you BigS, that must have been hard not eating whilst on holiday but like you say, food will always be there when you finish this, just in moderation. Lovely to fit into those clothes isn't it?

Good luck for weigh in today, can't wait to see what you've lost!

In fairness to your husband it's your diet not his. You get really used to it though and the more the calories in the food people are eating around you the better you feel about sticking to the diet cause you know your not doing yourself the detriment that you more than like would have other wise. Well that's just how it was for me anyways. You'll feel fantastic about yourself in no time and the world will have to run to keep up with you :)

Blimey, that's the way to do it S! Well done you!

That is excellent! Well done for resisting on hols as well - always tricky. I'm away from this Friday for a week, I shall use you as my inspiration to stay strong!!
