Packed lunch ideas?

Newday

One day at a time
Would anyone know if there has been a thread on ideas for packed lunches?

My OH has decided to join me doing SW and I've got to think of lunches I can pack him. He has no access to a micro or kettle and has to eat pretty lightly or he can't do his heavy work.

Drawing a blank when I try to use the search facility (but I'm not to good with those at best of times. )

I usually have pasta, rice or potato salad & just put any veggies I have in, eg tomatoes, peas, corn, peppers, then add some cheese or meat & seasoning.

What would he normally have for lunch?

At the moment he just has a sandwich with meat spread and a couple of biscuits. Sometimes he just has jam sandwiches, which he's addicted to.

I've said I'll do his lunches from now on and try to make them more healthy. He says he'll try anything I do so maybe a little pasta salad. :) That could be quite frugal, something we need to be at the moment.

i miss read the subject and thought someone had come up with a pack lunch crumble... was all excited for a mo... love a good crumble, lol

I take a packed lunch every day ... I have sandwiches (HEXB) with laughing cow triangles (part of HEXA1) & some smoked ham or chicken wafer thin meats (on a red day), I also have a muller light yogurt, a couple of bananas, 2 babybel lights (part of HEXA2) and if I'm on a long shift I take some quavers (4.5 syns) or a coco pops or rice krispie cereal bar (4 syns). That gives me plenty to spread throughout the day and I still have syns left for dinner when I get home xx

I think I'll try to incorporate sandwiches into his lunches still on certain days. Like the idea of bananas and the cheese, too.

I don't really know what laughing cow spread is like, I'm thinking like Primula?? I know he would eat that maybe with a tomato and some lettuce.

Some good ideas, thank you. :)

BTW Laughing Cow Light cheese triangles are much nicer than Primula - really cheesy and don't taste 'artificial'...X

I eat loads of salads at work:
Tuna and mayo
Chicken and bacon - could add pasta on an EE day
Salmon
Ham
I also take a flask with me sometimes with homemade soups..also just put water in it and he could have a mugshot or those new potnoodle (mugshot equiv).
Fruit salads.
Basically as long as he can take a cool bag and a flask, then anything is possible ;)
