New Plates!

is working hard.....
I decided to treat myself to some new plates as a reward for 30lbs gone forever.

I've gone a little bonkers (bear in mind that I'm a round white porcelain plate kind of girl) and bought square earthenware red ones!!



I think they are beautiful and I'm very pleased. (And a massive Wilkinsons Bargain at only £15 for 12 pieces).

I love square plates :D Makes better use of cupboard space! lol

LOL the second I saw those plates, I knew they were from Wilkinsons (I work there).

I want the black set, but seeing as though I live with my Nanna, there's really no need for them at the moment!

Go for it Ellebear - a change in the ol' china is amazing!

I've never been one for presentation on the plate 'a la Masterchef', but by golly I've had a lovely time playing with my food this week and arranging it to look even more delicious!

I swear my portions are smaller, and there is something about the squareness that sets it all off to look utterly scrumptious!

Last night, I even chopped my HEb Fibre plus into squares in one corner, stood my glass of sparkling water in another, then arranged sliced strawberries and a chopped fresh apricot in the other 2 corners before retiring to the sofa for Eastenders! It felt like a decadent treat and yet so 'on plan' :D

I'm so pleased with them - a real change but it has made a huge difference in terms of making each meal really special.

oohhh they are LOVELY!

Ive got some cream and brown square ones but be warned - the 'lip' on the plates arent very good on mine and sauces often slide off lol!!! (good for weight loss, not a good look on a hwite top lol!!)​
