I am starting (again) on a mission to try to lose some weight. I need to lose 3 stones to get to a 'normal' weight.
I have PCOS and my doctor has ordered me to try something like atkins but I could not see how I would fit atkins into my busy working days so instead I am opting for a make it up yourself low GI version instead.
I am on my second week now and haven't lost anything! Could you give me some pointers please?
Breakfast - small bowl special K and semi skimmed milk.
Snacks during working day - an apple, two satsumas, small pile of grapes and a banana (for the walk home from work!). During day at home I don't snack at all.
Lunch - Salad made up of lettuce, cabbage, carrots and baby tomatoes and half a can of tuna mixed with a low fat salad cream.
Dinner usually anything like chicken and veg, spag bol with home made sauces, chicken curry with home made sauces, chicken stir fry, roast dinner, fish and veg etc.
Portion sizes are now half what they used to be!!!
Drinks - just water.
Weather permitting I am walking around my very hilly neighourhood for 30 mins every day and I now have the blisters to prove it (can anyone recommend a good pair of walking trainers!!) I have a wii fit which I just have no motivation to use right now and a fitness DVD which is current glaring at me from the dvd cabinet!
So where am I going wrong? I feel healthier for the last two weeks of veg overload but I have three stones to lose asap!
