Hi, I'm a restarter (for about the 10th time) and no matter how hard I try I cannot get past day 3 (normally even less than day 3). How I wish I'd never come off it!!!!

How do you gus gets past the first 4 horrid days? If I do SS but have milk in my tea will that make me feel worse? I really struggle without my tea with milk.

Any suggestions appreciated!

Hi

The first few days are really hard - even more so when starting again. I have started again again. again. BUT last week I somehow got to a whole week (*cough* then it went wrong, so maybe I dont have the secret after all!) Sticking with it was down to nothing more than thinking how far I had come already (be it 2,3,4 days) and how awful it was to have to re-start again. Even a morning on the plan can lead to an afternoon o the plan followed by an evening - and befroe we know it we have done a whole day.

Now.... make me listen to my own advice. I have spent the last week rebound eating. BUT TOMORROW IS MY NEW START. And by George, I mean it this time! Even if I have to take it an hour (or minute!) at a time.

we can do this!!

With pure grit and determination.

Of course you will crave food and drink.

Do not drink milk in your tea it will keep you out of ketosis and you really need to be in ketosis to get you through.

You won't die of being a bit hungry, you just gotta get through it with willpower - no magic formula - but it does get easier.

GRIT AND DETERMINATION is all you need!

aw hun you gotta want this soooooo much to be able to do it!! i think a bit of desperation helps!! lol

It is hard mate i know!! But it's imperative you are in the right mindframe! Otherwise it's impossible!! What's your story? how much do you want to lose?

The first week is always the hardest, it purely just the case of fighting the urge to eat.....You can do it hun, we're all here to support you.....

yes this website it great. I orignally started CD back in September. I was miserable and really desperate and I lost 2 stone. Then after a blip I never managed toget back onto it - christmas and new year came, I had my 30th birthday and all sorts of other excuses!!! I have now gained 1 stone of what I lost so I am cross with myself!

Ideally I would like to lose 3.5 stone. I am getting married next year but even that doesn't seem to get me focussed. I start off strong but then I'll cave in.

I'm very tempted to get a gastric band fitted...I've been looking into it but your BMI has be to 35...mine is 32. I know it seems extreme but I feel like it's the only thing that will work long term.
