New food diary - Red day!

Hello! Started SW diet about 4 days ago and still getting to grips with what is free and what counts as syns (as not signed up so just guessing at the mo:eek:)

Red day yesterday. This is what I had (hope I'm on the right track...)

Brekkie
2 slices of wholemeal toast, one with scraping of butter and one with scraping of jam (I'm guessing 4 syns??)

Lunch
Tuna with salad, drizzle of fat-free dressing
Apple

Dinner
Lamb chops (took off fat) with vegetables (cauliflower, brocolli, green beans and carrots)
Gravy (3 syns??)

After dinner
Picked at selection of cheeses (full fat :cry:) with two crackers (not sure I want to know how many syns!!!)

Snacks
Two bags of Fridge Raiders Chicken Bites (I'm hoping these are free on red day as just chicken)

I know that lamb is prob not the best meat to have on the diet but I am visiting my family and they are doing the cooking (this is also why I am also not counting the copious amount of red wine I drank last night either!! - I know it's about 5 syns a glass usually)

Can anyone give me some guidance as I know this was possibly a bad food day but my main thought was to avoid the carbs. Thanks guys!:D

Hello "happysparkle (claire)" and Welcome!

Having a general quick glance over, just a few things.

Brekkie - was this 2 slices from a small 400g loaf? If not, these can be up to around 6 syns a slice.

Lunch - Some FF dressing is free, some not - pop over to syns thread and ask - some kind soul will be able to tell you.

Dinner - Gravy - ask syns thread. But i know that 1 tsp of Bisto Best Beef granuals are 1 syn and 1 tsb of Bisto Best Chicken granuals are 1/2 syn. - Stock cubes free!

Lamb is fine and free free free if all fat removed on a red day - enjoy!

Fridge Raiders Chicken Bites - i dont eat these but dont think they are too bad in syns - check syn thread.

Hi, thanks for replying. I can't believe I've mucked up with the bread!!! I've been having proper big wholemeal nutty seedy slices every morning!

Yesterday I had a green day.

Brekkie:
2 slices of wholemeal bread with marmite on one slice and scraping of butter on the other (12 syns eeek!)
poached egg
tablespoon of salad cream (2 syns?)

Lunch:
Jacket potato and tin of beans
some garlic cream cheese (full fat unfortunately)

Dinner:
Boiled rice
stir fry veg and noodles

snacks:
1 cracker with blue cheese

Feel really bloated this morning :(
 
Why dont you go on ebay and buy the slimming world pack it'll have all the books you need-itll have a book for red and green days an extra easy book plus info on hex's and some basic syns.
I dont go to a class but bought all the books online and this website you'll be fine!
