Hi all,

I have been doing Original/Green based SW now for about 6 weeks.
I was doing it religiously with no syns at all. I even begrudged HeA and B's!
Dropped from 217lbs to 203lbs

I was then informed by someone that I actually should have some syns as it aids slimming through your body not panicking, thinking 'DIET!!!!' and holding on to every last dollop of fat.

So I can have chocolate??
Hey, I am not going to complain!

So I found a relatively low syn chocolate treat.... in my case a flake at 9 syns.
With the plan to have one every other day or so..... just as a treat.

But damn - did that open the flood gates!
Suddenly I found myself fighting (not very hard) to stay within 15 syns A DAY!! Counting some foods as slightly less syns than they actually were to allow me to have the next naughty naughty!

Its been nice....but I didnt weigh myself for a few days. Now though the consequences have become evident. Very evident.
I have steadily put half a stone BACK ON - nooooo!!


Back to martyrdom for me then.
No syns, at all, ever.
I just cant be trusted!


Thats the trouble of a diet based around eating as much as you want - as longs as its only certain things.... I am fine with eating tonnes of food but deviating, just a little, from those foods means that of course I am now just eating LOADS of food.



Feeling low today.


 
Jarrus, that's exactly why I don't use my syns on chocolate and crisps. I just don't want to get back into the habit it craving them (especailly crisps lol) again. Hey it works for me and I can honestly say, I don't miss it one little bit :eek::8855:

I'm sure you will get back on track and knock that half stone on the head though. You should really have some syns though, even if it's only 5. I use mine on things to cook with, like chilli sauce, cornflour and things like that. Good luck x
 
no syns at all will not help, itll just make you crave things that you wont allow your self,

you will NOT succeed if you impose your own rules, if you dont have your syns your not following slimming world, your just restricting yourself too much and setting yourself up to fail,

if you cant trust yourself with chocolate, then use your syns for other stuff, dressings, cheese for salads potatoes, stuff llike that, but please dont cut all your suns right out, your body will mutiny.
