Last diet ever diary - L'Oreal Youth Code

Thought I'd start a little diary to keep me on the straight and narrow

OK - had a little practice on the weekend and cut down on coffee. Am counting today as my real day one. Went to the Mela yesterday and I think that counting Naan as a low gi veg is pushing it. Had I known the Mela was on would not have started until today anyway. It's normally on August Bank Hol but thinking about it logically, that's right in the middle of Ramadan so that's prob why.

So, ladies, looks like I'm a day behind instead of a day ahead. Not going to beat myself up as that has seen me abandoning things in the past.

Good luck, we can do this

:8855: Nice one.

I look forward to reading how you get on I am still considering starting TF once the cupboards are bare so will be interested in following your diary. Have a great first day

Thanks, Hun

Day 1
Breakfast Caramel Shake with Fibre
Mid Am Mango
Lunch Brocolli and cauliflower with TF Chicken soup
Mid PM Mango
Dinner Chicken stirfry

Drinks
2 ltrs water
3 cups coffee (hey, better than 15!)
3 cups decaf coffee

Just looked in diary and have to do a presentation tomorrow followed by a networking lunch :eek::eek: Any suggestions welcomed

In fact, looked ahead and realised have another 4 networking lunches this month and taking some customers out for the day which will involve 3 course lunch followed by afternoon tea. Is it any wonder I am struggling

Coping strategies etc would be sooo appreciated

Hope the presentation and lunch went well today

I got the TF stuff today and am going to start tomorrow. I've had a quick shifty through the book and what about trying a transition or freedom day when you have the lunches? At least then it will be damage control, if not just follow the plan for the other days and make the best decisions you can on the lunch days - life is too short to worry too much.

Hope today has been a good one for you

Hey there

Presentation went fine and lunch was good - although it was a set menu with 4 choices - none of them good

I must confess I haven't read the book (I know it says read all the way through) but I just haven't had the time/energy - so don't have a clue what the other stages are called never mind what they entail

Breakfast Shake
Mid AM Banana
Lunch 3 x mini fishcakes and 5 french fries (had to at least look like wasn't being a fussy mare)
Mid PM Banana
Dinner Cottage cheese and free veg
TF apricot bar (was paranoid about minerals and nutrients from pathetic lunch)

Have managed to cut down to just 3 cups of coffee for second day in a row - miracle!!!

Not the greatest second day in TF's history I'm sure but at least I'm focused, it has been through no fault of my own and it has not let to a "sod it, there's always tomorrow" binge

You are such a naughty girl! I am going to grass you up to the TF police! Read the book!

I have discovered that you can eat unlimited amounts of rhubarb (yum!) and unlimited amounts of the TF Jelly.....how impressive. That should kill my sweet tooth craving.

Networking lunches are a nightmare - they are generally carb mad. You are doing really great on the caffeine though. I've switched to decaff tea - I can't function in the morning without a cuppa.

PMSL

I took the book to Dubai with me with the best intentions of
a reading it
b starting there and then

Mmmmm - that worked out well. I am so sh*t with reading through the literature and really can't concentrate on it at the mo due to caffeince deprivation :p Plus - is it just me or is the light grey print really difficult to read?

xx

no - it is difficult to read, and there is a LOT to take in. Small chunks of it is probably easier, and it makes great bedtime reading - sends me to sleep quicker than nytol! lol

OMG

Chose the right thing after all. The fishcakes were more fish than potato to be honest.
Breaded fish and chips is on the occasional food list in the transition period - yay me

Nice trick for sleeping, Rach - I do have problems, maybe this could be the solution to my mild insomnia as well as my weight ;);)

I like the fact that if there is something coming up that I really want to eat at, I can just follow transition principles for a short while...I am really really going to try not to waiver off the weightloss bit for two weeks though.

Toots, when are you weighing in?

Probably sunday morning - keep it the same as you? Going to use my own scales instead of Boots so don't have to remember to wear the same thing each week - if ya catch my drift ;)

I'm glad that you and Vanda told me to read on - it really is useful - especially with all the blimmin networking lunches i have to attend. It's bad enough being as shy as me and going to these things without having to worry about what's on my plate too  Also, like you say, it's good to have the option so that your life isn't constantly being put on hold (I felt I never went anywhere when on CD/Exante etc)

I have wind :cry::cry:
And it's trapped :cry::cry::cry:

Oh no! that's horrible! Suggestions to release....

get on all fours and do a figure of eight with your hips...

lie on your back and pull your knees up to your chest and rock...

get it moving babe

Thanks for the tips - gonna give them a go whilst bath is running

Oh - I remember now - I took the olive oil option for cooking otherwise I'd be having burnt offerings.

Right - off to the bath

Good luck again for tomorrow - I'm getting really excited for you!!
