Aww Rosie so sorry, I hope it gets better soon ....... take care

I have got to go back in on Wednesday for them to see if they need to operate to remove the stone. they will inject the salivary gland with some dye and have a look under xray. YUK !!

Ouch!! poor you. Hope it isn't too painful and that you didn't have too long a wait at the hospital....... somehow its kind a nice when being poorly helps us along a bit on the scales! Good luck with your weigh in this week xx

Hi Rosie

I have had this - painful isnt it! I had the sialogram and it is fine so dont worry. It is a bit uncomfortable when they push the dye into the salivary gland as they fill it as full as possible but it didnt hurt, just discomfort. Did they tell you to "milk" the gland? Just rubbing really in one direction along the duct from the ear down to the mouth, pushes saliva and possibly the stone out.

Good luck and hope it goes ok on Wednesday.

My grandson aged 12 had this earlier this year and eventually had an op.

He is now fine.

I bet you are in a lot of pain.
