eating too much ????

adores posting
hi, a bit confused here! and i must say it doesn't take much but i'm wondering if i'm eating to much because today i've eaten 1,655 calories and when i was calorie counting i was only allowed 1,300 sorry felt better writing that down rather than just thinking it over i struggle to lose as it is without eating to much thanks for listening to my moans

Well, SW isn't a calorie counting plan, so calories really don't matter. As long as you're not going crazy on syns then you're most likely doing fine. I eat tons of superfree foods, infact my best losses have been when I've eaten more than I usually do.

Could you post what you've eaten today so we can offer some better advice?

I'd second that about posting your menu if you'd like to? I'm sure it'll be fine. I'd agree that eating more (of the "superfree and free" variety mostly) tends to give bigger losses probably because the body doesn't go into starvation mode and keep hanging on to the fat!!! x

Hi Chocaslim
I don't think the calories matter on slimming world. Its to do with eating foods which are highly satiating basically they make you feel fuller quicker and for longer. Make sure your not eating when your not hungry and stop when your full even if it means leaving some on the plate.... something I find impossible! And be careful to stick to the correct HEXs its easy to have to much or to little so its best to weigh it out. You lose weight through a combination of of the restricted food and the free food. Hope this has helped x

wow thank you for all your support so quickly as well, gives me a better out look on my healthy eating plan i will definatley have a look through my books again at super free and free foods thanks again everyone

Please don't worry about counting the calories. Focus on your free foods and work your meals around their inclusion. If you need any help just let me know and I will try my best to help xx

As dieters we've all been on various diets, calorie counting, carb counting, point scoring etc......BUT, you CAN'T count calories, fat grams or carbs or anything else on this plan! Thats NOT how it works.
You have to trust that having a healthier way of eating is enough. Naturally skinny people don't spend all day every day counting calories and fat - they have a naturally healthy, in moderation diet and THATS what keeps them slim.
Trust the diet - forget everything you 'thought' you knew about dieting and watch the weight come off without you even trying. xx
