Im planning my menu for week 1 and i have read my book and understand i need to fill my plate with 1/3 Superfree foods on EE but are Superspeed foods counted as SF ??

For example if i have a jacket potatoes and beans and mix some mushrooms and onions in is this classed as an ok meal or would i need to add some more SF foods ??

i think i have overdosed on the phrase SF and SS and managed to confuse myself!!!

thanks

Superspeed and superfree are two different things, so the answer is not necessarily. Your superfree foods are those fruit and veg that are free on both red and green days, so everything except potatoes, peas, parsnips and sweetcorn.

all the foods on the orange page are your super free foods hun. its not a silly question, i found EE quite hard to get to grips with!

right so i couldnt just have jacket spud and beans - i need to have something from the orange pages.......to be honest i did think that that was the case but have managed to confuddle and confuse myself today!!!
thanks for the replies

i often just have a plain sarnie or a jacket spud with beans and then have a thirds worth of fruit with it. I dont really like the idea of salad with baked beans (hadnt thought of mushrooms tho!) xxx

excellent plan. i shall embrace the fruit!!!
Karen, i agree Beans and salad seems wrong on many levels!!!

.....and plenty others! Things that come to mind which are NOT super free are - broad beans, kidney beans (most beans, really), avocado, parsnips, chickpeas...there may well be more, these are only ones that I eat regularly and have to keep in mind are FREE not superfree.
