Anyone got a low-carb gravy recipe??

have you had a look in the shops at the gravy granules and seen if you can get a lowish carb one? remember you only using a little?
 
Well the jars are roughly 5g carbs for 70ml made up gravy....that doesnt sound much to me..Im guessing thats 1 teaspoon of granuals?
 
ooh dunno.
i have made one before with the juices from meat and some wine and just reduced it. but that was lamb.
ive had a quick google and there isnt much there either. Ive heard about xantham gum (sp?) as a thickener you could do with stock and drippings?

Bovril is quite low and could be used as a gravy
 
You can use Xanthum gum to thinken stuff with, no carbs but initally quite hard to not make things go lumpy!
