On A Mission!
Hi everyone, my name is Lynn and i just joined today. Ihave visited this forum before and have thought about joining and sharing my story.
Im 55 and am diabetic, I have struggled to get my blood sugars down and control my weight for about 6 years now. I needed to lose 6 stone, which seemed like such a mammoth task, especially as many diabetic drugs want to put weight on. My doctor has been very patient with me but i have not been a very good patient. Actually took me a long time to believe i was diabetic, so I never really gave it the attention it needed. But this year I have been very unwell with it, but thankfully my Dr put me on a new medication and this has enabled me to get to grips with my high blood sugar, high cholestrol and high weight. Ive been on the new meds for 2 months now and have lost 34lbs to date, need to lose a further 50lbs to get to a healthy weight. So i have set myself up with the cute little ticker and taken the plunge to join here.
