Anyone Bank with the Co-operative?

No, but we have our mortgage with britannia who have merged with them, they seem ok so far.
I bank with yorkshire bank and they are good if you are looking for recomendations

Thanks i'll check it out, i'm a little limited as to where i can go because i don't have a passport, just a provisional license and so far co-operative are the only ones who'll accept it.

Sorry - double post

Hi, I bank with the Co-op and have been with them for nearly five years. I only have a basic account (no overdraft or cheque book) because I struggled financially after my husband died and left me with over 50K of debt.

I much prefer Coop to HSBC - they seem lovely in the branch, although I don't go in very often as their online banking is good and you can pay money and cheques in and take it out at the Post Office as well, which suits me better as I can go on a Saturday morning.

The other good thing is that if you have your card or details stolen and money taken from your account the Coop put the money back into your account straight away and then investigate what happenned - this was a a life saver two Christmasses ago when when my card was cloned and somebody in Spain withdrew every penny from my account .

The customer service people were lovely and sorted it out for me straight away - as one said, I'd have to be Super Woman to use my card in Sainsburys in Oxford and then withdraw over a £1 000 in Barcelona 40 minutes later!

I haven't had anything but good service from them so I'd recommend them.
