Getting impatient now

Still rockin' it
Hi guys

I haven't been around as much as normal lately. I have had a massive job on, which has involved me working away from home for the last 3 weeks.

In that time I have been hugely proud of my food choices despite the fact that I have to eat out for 3 meals a day and work are paying- you wouldn't believe how creative I have got with sticking to plan under these circumstances. I have also gone to the hotel gym almost every night and worked out.

In 3 weeks I have lost 1.5lb- I can't pretend that I am not dissapointed but a trainer at the gym told me yesterday that when working out so much you almost have to ignore the scales as they are not a true reflection of what is happening to your body.

I am only 7lb from taget after losing 105lb and I am the first person to shout that every loss is amazing, it's just that I am getting impatient now!!!!!

Just wanted to let you all know that I am still around- working very hard and still battling food demons and a fat mentality- but slowly winning the battle!:wave_cry:

...........very slowly- lol

well done, takes some doing to stick with it when works paying!!!

7lbs to go , thats awesome

Well done on keeping to plan whilst working away Hun..I know it is a struggle, so that in itself is an achievement.
I know how frustrating it can get when you only have a short way to go and your body wont play ball. You will get there hun, it just will take a little bit longer than the colossal weight loss you have shed already. :)
Keep it up Hun...slow and steady....

hey CP - everyone says the last bit is the hardest - but dont give up - and anyway, you have lost - if i was away for 3 weeks and having to eat out all the time i would have got in a tizz after about the second day, and given up.....you have not! and you have been in the gym to help it too - so dont give yourself a hard time!

You are doing, and have done, SO well....its just the hard last bit....you will do it! xxxx

CP we are always our own worst critic... we are all so very proud of you, and rooting for you to get those last 7lb off for good. If I was eating out 3 times a day I would have put on 5 by now at least... you have amazing self discipline and that is why I know you will get there.

As you have said to me many times, half a pound a week is good, steady, healthy weight loss.

As soon as you're back in your normal routine, I think you will get there easily. Keep going and check in when you can! xxxx

CP - think of the journey you have been on and how you are never going to go on such a journey again. This last bit is the final moments of that journey - and the effects will last a lifetime.

I totally understand the impatience - I'd wave away 63lbs if I could! But whilst this might sound mad, enjoy this bit. Its the last time in your precious life you will ever be here and you can stroll forth to the finish line of your target weight and savour every sweet moment as it approaches. It will happen. Your body will not let you down. You are making such intelligent and healthy choices despite the pressures of life / work etc, that you will shed those 7lbs in no time (relatively!).
(A rubbish analogy (sorry!) is on EA Active 30 day challenge (which I am currently doing) where the last exercise of the session is when I have to run like a madwoman until the last 50 yards or so when I get to walk with the finish line in sight. That's you. Walking to the finish line, savouring the deserved cheers of the crowd and the knowledge that the finishing tape is for you, and you alone and a few steps more and you are there!)

You will soon enough have to battle the maintaining demons on your next journey, though with your wisdom and courage I doubt it will daunt you in the same way!

Glad to know you are still around hon - take care xx :)

Honey you have done fantastic to have had a loss especially with eating out 3 times a day for 3 weeks!! wow, got to hand it to you on that one!!!

Their was a lady at our group last week who needs just 1/2lb for her target & like our C said, it would have been really easy for her to have thought, forget it i'll just take target now, but will power has spurred her on, i'm rooting for her for tonight's WI!!!

Anyway - massive well done, you have done so incredibly well a true inspiration!

CocktailPrincess!!! I wondered where you were!! Don't be disheartened about the slowed losses. Like you said, you have achieved what most people only dream of. And besides what is the alternative, go back to eating junk and putting all the weight back on? Might as well carry on healthy eating and losing weight, albeit slowly. If you're going to be slim for life, you'll have to work the plan for life so stick to it, it's forever! Well done!!

CP...you are still losing...thats great considering the stage you are at and with working away etc we all want it quicker and at your stage of the journey it must be so frustrating :wave_cry:
But you are still doing so well, you look so fabulous and those 7lbs will go and you will be where you want to be  try not to put any more pressure on yourself than you need to get there xxxx

Why don't you think about it like this.... If you were eating 3 meals a day of what everyone else was eating (naughty choices i bet!), you probably would have put on a minimum of 2lbs per week - 6lbs in total! So if you've lost 1.5, you've really saved yourself from half a stone! That in itself is a massive acheivement!

Instead of measuring your success by the pounds you've lost, you should measure your success by the fact that you've obviously made enough changes in your head to maintain a very healthy lifestyle and eating choices to keep it up over 3 weeks, in very difficult circumstances! If you can do it for that amount of time without caving, you can keep it up for life! It's a huge lesson in mainting a healthy diet, and it's something to be really, really proud of! WELL DONE! xx:553:

Ah CP you are fab. That last half stone will be the most monumentous half stone you ever lose and it will happen!
xxxx

You're doing so well, I like what Cupcake said about savouring the moments before you cross the finish line. I really hope you get to target soon, however the way that you've changed you eating and exercise habits is brilliant, and no matter if the scales are slowing as you reach target, the journey you've made is really inspirational.

Good grief! You've lost 1.5lb?! I would have gained at least that for each of the 3 weeks if I wasn't in control of my own food!! Well done you.

I can understand the impatience too, but, take it from me, that half stone will go in no time once you're back on track 100% and then once you're at target, the really hard work starts! Although I'm glad to be at target, I really miss my weekly losses and the feeling of achievement as it doesn't seem the same when you maintain :)
