A Question or two for Mrs V

Hello Mrs V

First of all just want to say how fantastically well you have done with your weightloss, you have done amazingly!! Bravo!!

I read your food diaries with alot of interest due to your gastric band. As you know I've had a gastric bypass which does bring up some difficulties at times - mostly with meat so I do only do the green plan and I try to get some fish like tuna into it.

I'm really amazed by the variety of things you can eat and I was wondering if you still have difficulties with certain foods or you can pretty much eat anything.

I've pretty much avoided raw vegetables since my Bypass but today for the first time I actually had a salad for lunch with some tuna and egg. I had to eat it in 2 sittings as I could n't manage it all at once but so far so good, I don't seem to be suffering.

I struggle with pasta cause I can't eat much of it at one sitting or anything else with it so although I love it, I tend to avoid it but would love to find a way that would make me be able to eat it.

I know a gastric band is not the same as a bypass but there are some similarities. Do you have things that you can't eat at all or can you manage most things just in smaller quantities. I also noticed that at the start of your food diary you had no or very few syns but now you do, is that to help you maintain or is it just to give yourself some slack.

One thing I've noticed that since I've started doing slimming world and having proper meals I do feel more hungry but sometimes it's a really weird hunger, hard to explain. When I had my salad today I knew I had got to the point where my stomache was full and if I was to eat any more I'd end up being sick but there was still a kind of hunger gnawing away at the back of my stomach. In all honesty my past diet was so attrocious that I never let myself go hungry so I do often get confused with these hunger pangs ie I know im full but I still feel hungry???

Sorry to trouble you with all my questions xxx
