WI days??

Just saw Cupcakes diary where she is thinking of changing WI day to a sunday because she feels that's her worst day so by weighing in on the morning it's better for her...

does everyone else do this??? I just picked Monday as it was the start of the week... but now also thinking of changing to Sunday because that's my worse day also i eat more than I'm meant to most Sundays... and seeing as my WI is on a Monday it does me no good ofc! lol

just wanted to see why everyone else picks their WI days ??
 
I am mondays thats the day I started ww but my best day is fri and sat as I save points all week and eat more points at weekends but I think I may change it to too........
 
my wi day is a thursday,,only because i was saying i'll join tomorrow,,ok tomoorow,,maybe tomorrow then for a finish woke up on a thursday morning and just headed straight in!!!was thinking of changing but i think it will all just be the same eventually.

Yeah maybe you might be better of a friday morning or saturday, if you have treats then you will be eating more, but if your good of a sunday it might be alright for you as your sunday will make your body go back into normal routine from your friday and saturday treat days etc hmmm never thought about it before lol

haha i love it! i was the same at the beginning and still am at times when i have off days! ... i'll be back on it again tomorrow... then a few crisps later... ok maybe the next day :D :D

I think because of a Sunday I'm at my OH's and then go straight from his to my Nan's and then because i don't have a proper Sunday meal all the time (sometimes i do at OH's) then when i get to Nan's it's half 8 and I'm starving, so i pick and pick as she puts out food like a buffet lol and then i get back at midnight.. and WI on a Monday morning! so sometimes I'm still eating at say 11pm.. and i usually WI about 9 or 10 the next morning! :( so i feel bloated and nasty of a night time knowing I've probably blown my WI ... may change it to a Saturday or friday thinking about it, therefore of a Friday morning i know that i can not be so strict on what i eat during the weekend as if i do go overboard then at least i know i can work it off by the time Friday comes again, hmmm! i will keep my Monday WI as usual this week, but next week will change to a Friday morning i think as will be better for me :D
 
I weigh in on Sunday mornings and really love that I can be a bit more relaxed that day :) I don't think I'd change to another day just because it feels good to round off the week with a little treat on Sunday afternoon. Hope that helps.
 
Evening All,
Having only started back on Weight Watchers this week - I will be weighing in on a Friday morning which means that I can have a treat in the evening!

i weigh in on a monday, simply because it focuses me to be good over the weekend. Its my hardest time but knowing i have the weigh in on a monday night means i do try harder to be good. It also means cause my WI is on a night that i only have the night off, rather than the whole day in which i would go absolutely mental :p
 
ahhh so it works both ways i guess! depending of if people have enough will power to get through the weekend without going over and spoiling their WI days! Lol, i wish i had that will power, though i did well tonight hardly anything eaten WOO :D .. still think i'll change my day to Friday just seems more realistic for me and also saves me a whole lot of worry and panic! especially as i'm away this weekend boozing at the beer festival :D hehe thanks for the replies everyone!! good luck for you WI's this week!! xxx
 
I don't really believe in specific 'good WI days'. As in, I don't think changing the day makes much difference. At the end of 7 days you've either lost fat/weight or you haven't. I totally understand the water retention/feeling bloated etc might have a slight impact but in the grand scheme of things, if you're losing weight it will show up regardless of what day you WI.

If you're having a few extra treats on a certain day, then it shouldn't affect your weight loss for the whole week unless you went completely off-plan and over points.

I totally understand why people have special days and they WI as part of a routine - for some it can make them feel more motivated. I just think that overall weight loss is weight loss. A weekly WI should show any weight loss even if you had a bag of chips (within points!) the night before - because the body doesn't work in 'weeks' it just loses/gains weight according to food intake/exercise.

I WI on Sundays - because it gets me ready for the next week. Like if I have a bad WI then I can start again on Monday. Again it's just a psychological thing :)

thankyou!!! :D woop was expecting 1lb losses for a while so glad it was 2!! ... seeing as it's beer festival this week can afford to relax a lil! :D

Swimming done today, tomorrow is aquatone and swimming and then wed is tums bums and thighs or whatever it's called! then thurs 2 hours swimming... friday new WI day and camping!!! :D (thought i'd better up that exercise because of the booze lol!) hope your doing good hun congrats on getting that 2.5lbs off!!! WOO :) that's the way we like it, gain one week straight off the next :) xxx

hey yeah i totally understand where your coming from! :) i've decided to change to a fri because i will over eat a lot of a weekend lol dunno why but i just go for it, i think it's because i'm at my OH's every weekend and you know what it's like when your OH's parents cook for you and offer you things, feel bad for saying no.. need to keep in good books! lol :) so ill see how the fridays go for me, so will feel less guilty for eating more of a weekend lol! :) xxx

I chose a Thursday morning as I eat more on a weekend so wanted to not have to worry like I would if it was a Monday.

I'm going tomorrow morning this week as I can't make Thursday, not done a different day before so not sure how weigh in will be I'm sure my body got used to Thursday at 10am haha.
 
I weigh in Friday mornings as a strategic move as I work at the weekends and my job is quite physical so if I do have a treat Fridays I can work off that treat over the weekend. Probably not the best move but I am trying to dial back the treats on Fridays.
