Hi everyone,

I started LT back in March. Mainly because a couple of people I knew were on it and were doin really well. I didn't really take it seriously, and while they were losing stone after stone after stone, I kept battling with the same pound week after week. I did eventually lose 1st 6lbs, and convinced myself (and those around me) that I had actually 2 stone!!! People believed me, and I kept eating and lying to my friends and family.

As a consequence I was kicked off the LT programme by the pharmist, because I wasn't taking it seriously. I can't even start to explain how low and disappointed I felt in myself. But to be honest I wasn't that surprised!!! I had failed every diet I had ever tried.

I went on holiday to Turkey, and let's just say, didn't starve myself!!! But I wasn't happy or content or any of the feelings I convinced myself I had.

Any way, the crunch of this blog is.... I have started back on TFR, (today in fact), after avoiding each day, saying "I'll start tomorrow" and when I read BB's amazing blog, I feel so more in control. So much more determined, because I thought I was on my own.

PPL kept saying to me "just don't eat". If it was that easy.....

I would like to wish everyone on here all the best of luck, I really do want this (more so than the first time) and I know I WILL succeed!!!

Hi and welcome. Well done for taking the plunge again.

This diet isn't easy as everyone whose ever done it knows. It takes a lot of willpower and determination and it sounds to me as though you have that in abundance this time.

Stay positive and drink plenty of water, you can do it and will!

Thanks Bev!! I am so determined now. I really can't afford not to. I will just take it one shake at a time!! :)

That's the best way to begin with. Don't worry if you think you've got months on this, the time really does fly by anyway. Stay determined and maybe set yourself mini goals to aim for like stick to it for a week or losing your first stone. They help too.

Good luck and I look forward to seeing your first week weigh in!

Just wanted to say hi!
You definately need to be in the right mind set to do this diet, maybe it wasn't the right time for you before.
You sound like you really want to lose the weight and once you start to see it coming off you will be more determined.
If you are ever at a low come on here and you will get the support and motivation that you need.
Take some measurements so that you can see not only how much weight is coming off, but also the inches.
Good luck Emma x

Well done for deciding to take the challenge again, it must have taken some courage to come back to LT. It sounds as though you've done some soul searching, and you're really ready to tackle it this time.

Good luck, stay positive. You can do it!

RMC72 -' wow, your honesty is amazing. It's really hard to watch your friends losing while you're struggling. (Years ago, I joined Weightwatchers with a friend and she lost 10 stones in about six month and I'd lost about a stone and a half because I just couldn't stick to it). I think finding the right diet for you is the important thing. This one is really hard, but the payoff is fantastic. I know that if I stick to it, it will work, and that I really will be skinny by Xmas. I hope you do manage to stick at it, because it's made such a huge difference to me in only two weeks and it will to you as well. Good luck and keep coming in here for moral support.

Hiya and welcome, good luck for your first week. As everyone else has said, this forum is a lifesaver if you feel down or are struggling.
It sounds like you are in the right frame of mind for this now, so go for it, drink loads of water and watch the lbs fly off!
Lots of luck!
