I thought I had some maple syrup in my cupboard but don't:( I do have some honey though so would this be OK to drizzle on top before cooking. Thanks. I've never cooked salmon before:confused:

I roast mine in the oven with cherry toms & a couple of tablespoons of Wostershire sauce - 16 ish mins & its to die for!!!

Im doing thai salmon for dinner tonight -it is one of my fave:-

you can adjust for more people -but for me I do:-
  • 1 onion -finely sliced
  • 1/2" fresh ginger -cut into matchsticks or grated
  • 2 cloves garlic thinly sliced -or grated
  • 2tbs fish sauce
  • 1/2tbs molasses -or dark brown sugar -(1syn)
  1. drop it all in a pan and gently heat to dissolve the sugar and soften the onions slightly.
  2. Place a piece of skinless bonless salmon on a sheet of foil
  3. pile the mixture on top and wrap up tightly
  4. bake for about 7-10 mins in a moderat oven (deending on the thickness of fillet)
Im making fried rice to go with mine ...
Hope its of use to someone ;)

Thank you both. I've got some cherry toms and worcester sauce so will try that. Do I put them in foil? Was planning on rice with peppers, onions and peas thrown in whilst the rice is cooking so will give it a whirl.

Will try the thai salmon another time when I've got the ingredients in.

I just spray a ceramic dish with frylight then add the salmon, toms, sauce & a little spray of frylight on top - so so simple yet so so tasty!!

I have mine usually with a big pile of Rocket Salad & either roasted butternut squash or SW style roast pots - double yum yum!!

Hope you enjoy your dinner :)

I spread a thick layer of quark on top of mine then sprinkle some plain cous cous on top, yummy!
