Pasta Bake Ideas

Morning Everyone,

My boyfriend has decided that he would like a pasta bake for dinner, having looked at the Homepride sauce I would normally do I was horrified at how many syns are in the jar, does anyone have any good receipe ideas for pasta bakes?

Thank you xx

i usually just fry off some onions, red pepper, yellow pepper, courgette, add some passata or chopped tomatoes, splash of worcester sauce and some chillii flakes to give it a bit of a kick, add the pasta and then top with HexA of cheese :D xx

I'd do the same - I tend to use pasta bakes as a way to use up any leftovers I have!! So chuck in ham/bacon/chicken if you're doing EE. Plus I chuck in any leftover veggies including carrots, celery, peas, green beans etc and a tin of haricot beans or chickpeas.

Then just make up the sauce with passatta like emma-louise and a bit of stock if it seems too dry.

passata
garlic clove
onions
red pepper
garlic italian
basil
thyme
oregano
wochester sauce
balsamic vinegar
salt and pepper
pasta (obviously!)

mix all together
crips up bacon under grill, then chop into small bits
sprinkle on top and cover in HEA cheese.

Syn free with HEA or a few syns more for extra cheese..
its yummy

Or the easy tuna bake from last months mag is yummy, better left over night to rest in fridge though.

My sister's recipe consists of lots of roasted vegetables (courgettes, peppers, squash, aubergines, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, anything you like, really), mixed with a couple of tubs of Quark, some Boursin Light (you will need to syn this), seasoning, cooked fusili pasta (twists), all mixed together and cooked in a large dish (the sort you would cook lasagne in) with cheese on the top, until it is brown and crispy on top.

Yum!!
