Just wanted to say hello!

I'm not that new to the forum - but I have been reading whilst in work. Just found the time to get signed up (whilst on lunch).

I've done Weight Watchers for the past 8 weeks and lost a total of 10lb but was forever hungry even when trying to fill up on all the low point free vegetables and filling foods. So I thought stuff it, came back to Slimming World - I previously did Slimming World a couple of years ago when I was in England and still have my books.

Time to get at it ladies and gents! :D

hello and good luck with SW

good luck - SW (IMO) is the best plan around - free foods, and syns and HExtras - brilliant!

Hope you do really well x

I'm really looking forward to getting back on with Slimming World - already started 3 days ago and have been resisting the scales!

Onwards and downwards!

Hello and welcome xxx

Hey there, welcome to the forum and well done for making the best choice you will ever make - SW is the way to go, it encourages you to adopt a new healthy life style instead of looking at the plan as a diet - diets don't work, they are temporary and designed to fill over the cracks. With SW you learn that healthy eating has to be a life style change and its the only way to ensure the success that you have is maintained permanently xxx

Thank you for all the lovely warm welcomes!

I really enjoyed Slimming World in the past and my mother bless her mailed me all my books and everything as I had kept them, cost her a small fortune to mail them to ROI!

First week weigh in and I've lost 3.5lb! I was expecting a small lost as I had been doing WW for the past 8 weeks but was seeing 1lb losses, felt that it was just letting me snack too much and I couldn't make all the lovely recipes the way that I wanted, like I used to on SW. Too many alterations!

I'm over the world with my 3.5lb loss! Off to order some of the books from the SW online page! Woohoo!

Hey Say (that rhymes!)

You may find a few changes- for instance Extra Easy plan has been introduced since you did SW last time. There is a sticky thread at the top of the forum which explains EE to new people-
http://www.minimins.com/slimming-wo...d-advice-new-comers-including-extra-easy.html
this may be helpful as a lot of people follow that plan now (and it IS extra easy!) so you may want to find out what everyone is on about.

Good luck on your journey

Oh yes! I read up on that when I signed up online. This week I did a 50/50 mix of extra easy and green days. It works and I'm impressed!

I've just got to try and figure out how to work it in with my 11 hour working days. Shouldn't be too hard as I tend to do a "dinner" style lunch for work and then have a lighter lunch when I get home as I don't finish until 11pm normally (just getting ready for nightshift at the moment). So been having about 4 evenly spaced meals over the 'day' as I'm staying up longer hours to get ready.

If using them wisely I can spread my 15 syns across the day quite nicely!

Looking back I think I would of really struggled if I was doing WW right now and trying to spread my points out over longer days!

Hi Say,

welcome back to Slimming World, really hope you get on with it and lose the weight you want to. I've been going a couple of months and so far I've lost 9.5lb - I'm going for slowly but surely. Like many others I lost a lot of weight with ww years ago but put it all back on and more, SW deffinately seems more in keeping with everyday life. I get weighed tonight so fingers crossed and good luck to you.

Ooh good luck for tonight! Fingers are crossed!

I found melon and strawberries and awesome for helping weight losses - get those super speed foods in!
:scale:

Looks like that's going to be two of us aiming for the stone sticker next week. Need 1 1/2lb to do it.

We can do it! :D
