Whipped Cream Alternative?

I tried Quark for the first time today, with some sweetner added... it was lovely, thick and creamy with my Strawberries!!
oh!.... and FREE :D

I love quark, I have it loads in cheesecakes. Not sure about using it for this though as would need to use too much.

I'm making a big strawberry and cream slice but going to try and make it healthily if I can.

total 0% is also very thick and yum when sweetner is added to it, its a tad bitter on its own tho

Thanks hadn't thought to try that.

Mix quark and fat free fromage frais and sweetener and whisk it! It's nice!

I did think to mix quark and fromage frais but didn't know if it would be thick enough.

Think I will give it a go and see how I get on.

Also does anyone know how many syns and in puff pastry?

You could always use reduced fat creme fraiche - it's a few syns but the consistency would be right plus it's really yummy

Just found this thank you loobieluck
This tastes almost as good as double cream!)

250g QUARK
500G LOW FAT FROMAGE FRAIS
SWEETNER TO TASTE
VANILLA EXTRACT TO TASTE

Mix all the above together, and whip until nice and thick, then refrigerate for a few hours. This mixture is absolutely gorgeous with mixed berries or other varieties of fruit.

I hope you all like it

Weight watchers do a 'thick cream' which is quite reasonable on syns if you don't need too much... I can't remember how thick it was though and if you can whip it... so only a slightly useful post from me :p

Thick Cream, Reduced Fat, 1 level tbsp 1 syn on all plans
